I have the same suit…I just couldn’t pull it off.

  2. simba says:

i thought it was terrible just by looking at the obnoxious patterns of the outfits. then i realized they were made out of tarp. that made it so much less comfortable for me

  3. Jess says:

Duct tape outfits fully rock. The over kill on the red white and blue makes me want to barf. These ppl went out in public like this?!

  4. ALaForest says:

love the Obama on his jacket. I missed that the first time. When I keep looking at it i find a new detail I didn’t see before. They should’ve followed him during the election.

  9. SuzeQ` says:

Hearts, stars, stripes….yikes. Now that’s my kind of dude that wears hearts on his sneakers. Obama…I missed that. I think he’s made out of wax.

  10. lLiz says:

Pretty amazing! I hope they won something for all the time and effort. I don’t think the boy is made of wax I just think he’s hot as sh!t with all that plastic on, at least she gets to have her legs and arms out. He has to be sweating big ones…

  11. mirepoix75 says:

Aside from the color scheme this could have been one of the sweetest prom pictures ever taken. Great idea but nationalism+duct tape formal wear= awkward for sure.

  12. Cheryl says:

    Was it a theme prom?

  13. elfdorado says:

Aw, come on … this is creative. And they’re obviously very young, so they’re even more entitled to go over the top, esp. since the outfits are in honor of Obama. (See the “OBAMA” spelled out on the blue field on the boy’s jacket? It’s kind of hard to tell what it says because the “B” has no loops, the first “A” is the Capitol building, and the second “A” is on a fold, so it’s smaller.) They don’t even look awkward, either; they seem pretty relaxed. If they were wearing regular clothes, you’d see that this pic is among the least awkward of high school couple photos.

  14. QTKitty says:

Well see these people are from my school and our art club participates in this competition called Stuck At Prom (stuckatprom.com) where we make prom outfits made from duct tape…these were their outfits for next year. People all over the country compete in this competition for a chance at $3k for use towards college.

  15. HeidiJane says:

What is most important about this picture is that it is not a skeleton from the “history closet”. This is a recent photo. Wow.

This is part of a scholarship put on by Duct Tape. It’s called Stuck at Prom.

  47. Lalay says:

First off they didn’t tape the outfits TO their bodies. The tape is folded together to make the outfits. I think it took great skill to make any outfit our of duct tape. Kudos to them. If it was for a school project I hope they got an A. I just wish we new the story behind why the outfits were made.
