I haven’t been on here for long, but so far, this is one of three honestly awkward family pics. It’s spectacular
The rest, quite bluntly, are slightly odd, but not awkward, especially compared to this gem
wtf? Do these families all go to prom together and then go to get their photos taken? My family never dressed like for an appearance at the Sears portrait studio.
This one looks just fine to me. I think that those who come from unaffectionate families may have the most difficulty with this one. The sons hand is on his mom’s waist not her breast nor ass.
The son in front has just been forked by dad. Mom is being propped up after hearing this news. See how happy lil’ Timmy in front is now? Nothing Lassie could do would ever match what has happened to this family. And the daughter (actually a niece stepping in for the daughter who couldn’t make this photo shoot due to giving birth) is way too happy, too. She wants to watch.
How else should the older son place his hand? Down mom’s leg instead? They do seem a little scrunched in tight, but ok, whatever. I’m guessing all 3 kids went to prom, and mom & dad were the chaperons.
You have it all wrong, this is two families: The older couple use to be married and had the son in the middle but now are divorced. This is a “modern family” so the guy on the right is not the woman’s son but her new young lover – you can tell byt he way he is pulling her into his crotch. The girl on the left is the older man’s new bride, sweet 16 and married. Don’t they look happy…
um… awk-ward. seriously, debating the funniness of photos, not funny. debating the appropriateness of hand placement between family members, definitely awkward.
You guys are ALL WRONG.
The whole family going to prom? Nope.
Dysfunctional family arrangement? Nope.
This pic, my friends, is a BAR MITZVAH PIC. The young boy in the center is the Bar Mitzvah boy–he has just turned 13 and is now officially a man, and will hopefully follow in the footsteps of big brother.
If you haven’t been exposed to Bar Mitzvahs, the sad truth is that basically ALL Bar Mitzvah photos are this awkward, if not worse.
It’s possible that she’s one of those rich women who drinks a little… all day long. Perhaps her son is just steadying her. Later, someone grabs a bucket…

also a bit awkward how mom puts her set right in her son’s face.
where’s Dad’s hand?
“I put my hand up on your hip. When I dip, you dip, we dip.”
Good god, and they all look just like her, too.
very awkward.

Little Guido is excited that he just got “Made”. He’s going to launder his money through his mom Carmelas’ bustling Pro-Cuts salon.
Maybe the kid with the cozy hand placement is the daughter’s date!
What is Mrs. Soprano doing in this family photo?
um… awk-ward. seriously, debating the funniness of photos, not funny. debating the appropriateness of hand placement between family members, definitely awkward.
You would hit it dont lie LMAO
“Affectionate” =/= “dirty dancing.”
This photo shoud’ve been named ‘The Aristocrats’…
Keeping it in the family… heh heh.

So THAT’s how it is in their family….
LUURRVE your website!
The Aristocrats!
I think his hand on her shoulder would have been a better choice, but I’m sure they weren’t thinking about this when the picture was being taken.
say what you will, Mom’s a fox! I wonder what he’s doing with his other hand..
Coo, Coo, Cachoo Mrs. Robinson! Skippy up front is beaming because he knows his older brother will be leaving for college soon.
HAHA! You could kick a FIELD GOAL through that space in his tooth!!!! Love it!

Son’s face says it all, “You know you feel that and LIKE it, Mom!”
OH my gosh..I burst out laughing…thank you……thank you …..thank you for the giggles!
Is that Keith Olbermann?
The daughter’s hair is awkward enough for everybody.
It’s possible that she’s one of those rich women who drinks a little… all day long. Perhaps her son is just steadying her. Later, someone grabs a bucket…
creepy
Why does the daughter look different?
Why are they dressed like this? My family never got all prom status for a family photo.
The father looks like the guy from american pie xD
Dad looks like the “American Pie” Dad.
the guy on the right looks like the Miz from Real world New York a few years back.
Just say BIG CHEEEEEESE
