Why are the males wearing pink. I like the smug look on mom’s face. Something she knows that the rest of them don’t. That kid in the back, a face only a mother with a stuffed raindeer could love. Clearly dad works at Sears and skanked the shirts….beeper??
Actually, this photo makes perfect sense when you know the rest of the family. The mom in this photo is Ralphie’s aunt form The Christmas Story. (This mom and Ralphie’s mom are sisters.)
The mom looks like she’s got a BIG secret she’s keeping… Looks devious or something!!! This is just plain ODD. Seriously – who DOES this??? (other than this lovely family, of course!)
The pink bunny ears was all daddy’s idea. You can see it in the twinkle in his eyes. Mom’s black ears signify the death of denial. Thankfully, the kids are still clueless.

My dad worked as a chief for a playboy club in the 70’s. The waitresses wore black bunny suits with white tails and black ears.
