    Where do the noses go?

  2. Meghan says:

    i need this game.

  3. Randall says:

In regard to zachary’s comment, four up from mine, there is something gleefully goofy about the phrase, “Sixteen boxes of Snifty Snakes.” If there was a band by that name, I would buy all their music, no matter how bad it might be.

  4. zachary says:

Last week I bought a stack of sixteen snifty snakes games for twenty something bucks at a vancouver thrift store and brought them back to seattle, laughed all the way home… My christmas shopping is done!!

  5. C says:

I Love that the masks come complete with eyebrows!

  6. Michelle says:

What if someone has a cold? Gross

  7. Carol says:

    Wow, I’m moving to Canada!

  8. Larry N says:

They had to find something to do all summer and this is
just as exciting as watching water freeze.

  9. Peter says:

Made me think of ‘Clockwork Orange’.

  10. JerseyPam says:

I have a sinus headache now.

  11. Magdalene says:

The little guy is so cute! Loved it!

  12. Jonnie says:

proof that Bootsy Colins is so much cooler than any white person

  13. Rebecca says:

I dunno, looks like some homemade crap mom put together using old catheters and cheap Groucho Marx glasses. She’s crafty.

  14. J in Ky says:

…and I thought the only good thing to come out of Canada was Sarah McLachlan.

  15. Stevie B. says:

Isn’t this the lost scene from “A Clockwork Orange”?

  16. El Kev says:

Not one of Canada’s greatest exports.

  17. Clarke says:

We bought this game as a gag from a store in the Gastown area of Vancouver in about 1972. It stayed on a shelf until 1979 when we showed it to some new friends.

For some strange reason (maybe it was the volume of beer and wine that we consumed), these new friends got ovetthe absurdity and have remained our friends.

Since then this group expanded to 12 husbands and wives, 14 children, one son in law and one grandchild that go on vacation every summer to the Okanagan. We call ourselves the CSS’ers which is short for Camp Snifty Snakers.

    Yes, it is a cult.

  18. Kimberly says:

Ya know how, for some U.S.sweepstakes , Canadians have to complete a test of skill to qualify for the prize…

    this be they.

  19. Cheryl says:

So, is that a headband or a tear in the space-time continuum allowing the emergence of a parallel dimension into this universe?

  20. Earl says:

I assume that once you open the box, those nose hoses are assigned to a player…for life.

  21. Julie says:

see, the Canadians do have talent and creativity.

  22. Indy Dave says:

What happens when you don’t pay the cable bill.

  23. Joanne says:

I think this picture is great-colorful, different, unassuming. I have no idea how to play the game-do you inhale and exhale through your nose to move the pieces? I like how Leap Frog Fridge Phonics are on the fridge in the back! I think it’s a cool picture!

  24. Jennifer says:

    It’snot your turn…

  25. Megan says:

“WTF?!” doesn’t begin to cover it.

  26. snakedII says:

“Snifty Snakes on a Plane”. Just wondering if it would work: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! I have had it with this monkey fighting snifty snakes on this Monday to Friday plane! Yeah, I think Samuel Jackson can make it work.

  27. Shannon says:

lol This is funny and awkward.

  28. grimey says:

Hmpf…kids…always stickin’ their nose where it doesn’t belong!

  29. Ti says:

My theory on this game is they are trying to use The Force to move these pieces. Not the intense concentration. The glasses and noses are just a super rad fashion statement, and have nothing to do with this game at all.

  30. Chris says:

    They’re playing Snifty Snakes!

  31. Lori says:

Wouldn’t you hate to be the one who has to clean the nose things after the game????????

  32. Cat says:

oh no. I bet that kitchen smells like sugar cereal.

  33. Ed says:

and does the photo on its box cover convey the imminent awkwardity?

  34. Leah says:

    What is this game?

  35. colormeawkward says:

I stared really hard at this, trying to understand the game. My only guess is that you get a checker piece for each hour you manage to seat around the board wearing this prop. You get one in half an hour if your prop is in the circle (yellow player).

  36. midge says:

Don’t have a clue, the colours look like ludo…but I don’t know what the snakes for

  37. skip says:

I like how the glasses have their own color-coordinated eyebrows

  38. ejp says:

I wonder why this game never took off?

  39. gyanor says:

  40. case says:

    Skinnamarink e-dink e-dink
    Skinnamarink e-doo
    I love you.

I love you in the morning
    and in the afternoon.
I love you in the evening
    underneath the moon.

    Skinnamarink e-dink e-dink
    Skinnamarink e-doo
    I love you.

  41. Glenn S says:

WTF? I think they should be playing with compound bows!

  42. TJ says:

NEVER seen or heard of that one…

  43. Pippa says:

I’ve never seen that game before…hahaha is it something to do with snakes and elephants?

  44. mandy says:

This is AWESOME, not awkward. I mean, come on. They look so happy.

  45. Wendy says:

If Sorry and Hungry Hungry Hippos had a baby and it was raised by Groucho Marx, it would be this game.

  46. Bill says:

    ….Poor things
    I have a few observations:

    1) Although the game doesn’t seem that difficult or complicated, it does appear to capture an EXTREME level of concentration

    2) Without actually knowing what game this is, or being familiar with the rules….. but shouldn’t the Green ‘Marx bros’ elephant and the Blue ‘Marx bros’ elephant be on the opposite sides so the colour matches?

    3) The hidden man in the background – Who is this man? Is he the missing Red ‘Marx bros’ elephant, or…….could this ‘dark figure’ actually be forcing these children to play such a game? If so, then thepreviously perceived expressions of “concentration” may in fact be “fear of consequence as a result of failure” !!!

What ever it is…… I love it, thanks for submitting it Johnny

  47. bananafANNA says:

    What are they playing?

  48. Cammie says:

    Duh.. make that GAME CRAZE!

  49. SweetPea says:

    Let me play!

  50. Mary says:

    Just say the secret word…
