I believe you are referring to the ‘laser lightshow’ option. I had that on more than one occasion. It seemed way cooler than some boring trees or fake books.
The ‘laser lightshow’ option was an extra $3.00 at my junior high…..I always had to choose one of the plain color backgrounds instead but was sure to wear a matching color splatter paint shirt!
I actually asked my stylist that once–”Does anyone actually come in and say, ‘Give me a mullet?’” She told me that they usually say “short on top, longer in the back” . . . apparently, that’s mullet code. But to achieve the “style” in these photos would require some COMPLEX directions!
A rare breed of female, evolved from the ancient pachysephalosaurus, produce massive bone structures on the crowns of their heads, thus making them spescially equipped to fight off predators and fight for mating rights.
Damn, the woman in the office across the hall still has a fromullet (looks really nice with her black eyeliner, the only cosmetic she uses). So do I send her this or not?
Please send her here. I HAVE to know what “eyeliner as an only cosmetic” looks like!
If you can get the picture, you should! What a rare and special occasion! Best of lick.
Betsy, as always, took the easy route at the annual Halloween Costume Contest with her famous Melissa Gilbert “Little House On The Praire” look. But no one could top Jillian’s idea when she appeared as an actual steel wool pad.
Oh man…I think the girl on the left is my long lost twin… I remember how I just HAD to have that hairstyle…one of only two permanent waves I’ve ever had in my life.
oh dear. I had the same hair as the girl on the left except mine was straight so it looked like a bowl cut over my ears then long in the back. It happened accidentally as my other cut my bangs and the part she cut kept getting to be more and more until there wasn’t much long hair at all! ROFL! I remember being about ten when I stopped the madness and then we went through a nes awkward phase of pulling the bangs back with little hairclips and my mom insisting on curling them into little frizzy poofs on either side of my head. Classy.
OMG – i thought i was the only one who had a perm/mullet hairstyle in the late 80’s…WHY DID MY MOTHER LET THIS HAPPEN TO MY HEAD??? LOL, she still tortures me with the photos, including one on a Christmas tree ornament that I try to hide every year!
This is what happens when you go to bed with wet hair the night before picture day. I can guarantee her mom cried buckets when she couldn’t fix it, and again when the pictures came home.

Please ask the 2nd girls’ mom where can I get one of those hats. It’s hard to find one that’ll cover your ears up well when it snows.
LOL!!! YES!!!!! YES!!!!!! ZING ZING ZING!!!!!
That hat’s called a Ushanka. So maybe this is a Mulleshanka?
Hahah Im so dumb i actually looked at the pic for a min b4 i realised there was no actual hat in the photo lol
I’m laughing so hard, I’m crying and I think I may have to change my pants!!!
That hat is called the mad bomber.Try LL Bean
Clearly Jillian was just trying to meet the height requirements for Six Flags by adding an extra four inches of hair.
LOL! Good one!
I think the official name for that style is the “Kentucky Waterfall”.
Hilarious!!!!!!!
Nice hair helmet! Is this Rod Blagojevich’s kid?
Funniest vote of the day!
Though I think Kelly is still the winner of the “Permullet”; these to girls are definitely holding their own and “rockin” their “Fromullet”.
Ah yes, as the French would say: “From-you-lay”
It may be safe to say the storm has long passed.
I will see your fromullet, and raise you a splatter painted sweatshirt.
Splatter paint sweatshirts are the shiz…I remember those days…
I remember that! We always wore them on picture day in front of those hideous “graphic” backgrounds! You know, the ones w/ the criss-crossy lines
lol with t-shirt ties and stirrup leggings?
Man, i hated stirrup leggings! Who wants a piece of elastic wrapped around their foot all day?
Dont forget about those lovely french cuffed pants!!!!

Michelle Duggar has the same exact hair as the girl on the left.
You are so right!
HAHAHAHAHA! She does. I bet they see the same stylist.
How does one go about requesting a hairstyle like that at a salon anyhow?
I actually asked my stylist that once–”Does anyone actually come in and say, ‘Give me a mullet?’” She told me that they usually say “short on top, longer in the back” . . . apparently, that’s mullet code. But to achieve the “style” in these photos would require some COMPLEX directions!
LOL…I’ve never thought to ask a sylist this question
There is a code of the Mullet ?
Yup, you made me laugh! And you are right!

Well doc it all started when my Mom took me to get my haircut – that’s when the voices started
THIS IS THE FUNNIEST COMMENT YET!!!!
Good work, WombatGirl!
look its poodle-girl :O
i dont think ANYONE can top Kellys permullet… that was just TOO GOOD
What the hecky, Becky?
MULLET-TASIC!!!!
Although very good mullets…not even in the same league as Kelly’s! The permullet is tops in my book!
Come on! Those are Cossack hats with ear flaps! Nobody masters the mullet that well!
Just look at the steely determination in Jillian’s eyes!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! “Steely determination” !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are they related to the mulleted family?
Wow, those poor children
Go ahead and laugh …all of ya! It’s these kinds of haircuts that leave children with permanent emotional scaring.
Don’t you mean “permullet” scarring?
Yes, permulletly scarred…
ha ha!
Wow. >_>
Whoooaaa, we’re halfway theeeere, whooooooOOOOAAAA, LIVIN’ ON A PRAYER!!!
LOL. Yep, totally feeling the Bon Jovi vibe too!
Great mullets ladies, let the challengers continue to roll in. This is so much fun! Aren’t the comments from others so hilarious?
Thanks, guys, for making me feel better about my eighties bangs. A little.

She’s travelling back in time as she gets older..
