It looks like he set the timer on the camera forgot to tell the other so he is the only one paying attention and ready for the picture.
Wearing socks with sandals means less blisters and cleaner feet. If he is like most men, his toes are not pretty to look at, so socks are usually a wise choice. If he is comfortable and confident wearing socks with sandals, more power to him.
That’s a cute family, though.

I disagree with the comments that this is not awkward. I think it’s MOST awkward. The family is sitting BEHIND him, only one of the people in the back is acknowledging their picture being taken, and Dad definitely looks awkward to me. Maybe that’s because he reminds me of a person I know who is literally the MOST awkward man on the planet…..this could be him in 10-15 years. Look at the pose of his hands. Is he getting ready to volley? Nice backyard, though.

This picture of this obviously soft spoken dad makes me laugh. Why? First and foremost, the look of perpetual satisfaction on his face. Nothing could get to him. He is having some sort of a zen moment. Then we have the dog sniffing Pocahontas’ butt in the background and Pocahontas looks none too impressed. I think that is why she is trying to kick the daughter-she put the dog up to it. All in all they are a disjointed family and I predict that no matter how hard they try, the perfect family photo will always be elusive.

Everyone’s so focused on the dad. check out the mom…. she’s the awkward one. First of all…she’s wearing a sweater when it appears to be warm-ish weather out. And its almost as if she’s kicking the daughters foot away, yet trying to be inconspicuous about it. And for some reason Im really curious who actually took this photo.

How is pushed down any better than pulled up? Socks + Sandals = Comedic Fodder. That was the first equation I learned in math. Pulled up or pushed down is like multiplying it by 1.

OMG! It’s my husband in 20 years!! He tries to do that all the time! I tackle him every time he tries to leave the house looking like that. Glad to know I’m not the only person who sees how ridiculous it is!
MINE TOO!! If I would let him leave the house in his berks and sandals (knee sox), he would wear them all the time!
