  1. Laura says:

I don’t care who you are or what your politics are…Sarah Palin is hot.

  2. Lisa says:

If you look closely you can see Russia in the background. Good thing she can keep and eye on it from her office window.

  3. Rachael says:

Her legs dont match the rest of her, haha

  4. malabar says:

wow, you know women, typical of them to hate any other woman who looks better than they do, makes more money than they do, and is SMARTER than they are. she was smart enough to become governor of alaska, what have you done besides hide behind your computer and talk smack? thought so. keep it up though, she still hasn’t gone away as predicted on nov. 5, 2008. thanks! ;-)

    • jose says:

I’m not talking smack but I would have to agree with those other ladies. And I’m in the Army and I’m HOT!!! SO what have YOU done?

    • AJ Simkatu says:

She didn’t go away? She quit the job that people elected to do for 4 years just halfway through it.

What is she doing now, running a Facebook page? Nice career that is.

Paris manages a vast empire and Palin manages a Facebook profile.

    • DaPickles says:

ohhhhh malabar niice one you totally OWNED them lol. i agree. palin rules!

    • Fixie-dent says:

Apparently she’s not smart enough to realize that Alaska does not share a land border with Russia, despite having grown up there and later becoming governor.

      • Shelia says:

I don’t think she ever said that Alaska shared a border with Russia, just that Russian land can be seen from parts of Alaska. And that’s absolutely true.

I’m not sure people comprehend that any governor of a state that borders or is in close proximity to a foreign country does have some responsibility for protecting that state’s borders.

    • Virginia says:

I agree Malabar. Most people are just sitting behind their computer doing nothing insulting others. People are always brave BEHIND a computer.

    • Pinhead says:

Bush could read at a 7th grade level and he was Govenor and President! I don’t like Palin at all, but at least she isn’t embarassing.

      • SkettyUK says:

Not embarassing? You clearly don’t know how much the rest of the world was laughing at this woman

        • Oxford MSc says:

Exactly. As an postgraduate with a 1st class degree, Oxford masters, currently working AND trying for a PhD in conservation (which I feel is quite enough thank-you Malabar) I can safely say she is one of the most vile and dangerous people in the public eye. Every person outside America that I met thought she was the most ridiculous person ever! We were ALL laughing at her. The fact that people are supporting her still shocks me.
Come on she insulted research fruit fly research on a live interview just weeks after they had made a major breakthrough on the causes of Down’s syndrome, which you would think she would be aware of having a downs baby… The complete lack of understanding of such important work by someone who it directly effects, who is in a power of position and is listened to by so many people (scarily) is just one of many examples of her complete incompetency and stupidity. She IS stupid and an insult to all decent Americans with half a brain cell.

          • Dee says:

            Oxford,

Maybe you should post your resume on here while you’re at it… we’re all reeeeally impressed. Give it a rest, people are entitled to their opinions.

          • Cambridge MA, MBBCh says:

            As *A* postgraduate.

            Grammar: B-

      • Drachenglaube says:

        YET!

  5. smalls says:

it’s like she’s running for miss america and hottest mom at the same time.

    i’d vote for ‘er >>;

  6. jules says:

The SERVICE STAR behind her is not a mobile. It is a flag family’s display that have someone serving on active duty in a war zone. Each represent one service person. Mine had 3.

    • graceless says:

thank you, i was upset that this was misrepresented glad to see someone was able to correct them. we have had a few in our family, most recent for my brother in the marines.

    • Mira8 says:

Yes thank you – Palin may be a nutjob but please let’s still show respect for the military.

    • CatMilker-n-Motown says:

jesus, take it easy. this website is supposed to be humorous. if you are lacking a sense of humor…..then you shouldn’t comment here. the caption wasn’t making a statement about anything other than the completely phony, staged and awkward nature of this photo. had the author referenced the mobile in the way you suggest, it wouldn’t have been funny at all. my grandfather has a purple heart from the korean war so don’t bother replying with some nonsense suggesting i don’t support the troops or whatever…..

      • mrs5180 says:

no, what the incorrectly named “mobile” represtents to those of us who have displayed it in their homes since WW1 means so much that we have the right to correct the misrepresentation.

It is a Blue Star Banner.

It is pride, love, worry, history, honor, hope and sacrifice all rolled into one symbol.

I find this site just as humerous as the next person, and will continue to do so.

    • Len says:

Yes. The idiot who wrote that was a mobile should be embarrassed.

    • Rob says:

Maybe they were refering to her Mobile phone?

    • Mick Finn says:

Who in her family is serving in the military right now? I mean, isn’t this a display for families with active service members?

      • Pete says:

She has at least one son that is in. You normally hang it up when you have a family member that is deployed. I keep trying to explain this to my mom, that now that I am back she can take it down…

  7. AT says:

Sarah never said she could see Russia from her front yard (or whatever it was). It was a Tina Fey quip. It’s amazing that so many people really believe that Palin actually said that!

That said… what was she thinking when she posed for this? Is it for a “Hot Governors” calendar or something? Was she Ms. July?

    • Jennifer says:

She would have sounded much smarter to have said she could see Russia from her front yard. Instead, she hemmed and hawed and, in usual Palin fashion, never did answer the question asked. See transcript from Couric interview below:

Another cringe-inducing performance by Sarah Palin in part II of her interview with Katie Couric.

In the segment below, Couric presses Palin to explain why Alaska’s proximity to Russia gives her foreign policy experience. Palin doesn’t seem to have improved her answer since she was asked the same question by Charlie Gibson.

      Here’s the transcript:

COURIC: You’ve cited Alaska’s proximity to Russia as part of your foreign policy experience. What did you mean by that?

PALIN: That Alaska has a very narrow maritime border between a foreign country, Russia, and on our other side, the land– boundary that we have with– Canada. It– it’s funny that a comment like that was– kind of made to– cari– I don’t know, you know? Reporters–

      COURIC: Mock?

PALIN: Yeah, mocked, I guess that’s the word, yeah.

COURIC: Explain to me why that enhances your foreign policy credentials.

PALIN: Well, it certainly does because our– our next door neighbors are foreign countries. They’re in the state that I am the executive of. And there in Russia–

COURIC: Have you ever been involved with any negotiations, for example, with the Russians?

PALIN: We have trade missions back and forth. We– we do– it’s very important when you consider even national security issues with Russia as Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America, where– where do they go? It’s Alaska. It’s just right over the border. It is– from Alaska that we send those out to make sure that an eye is being kept on this very powerful nation, Russia, because they are right there. They are right next to– to our state.

      • mark says:

She’s refering to russian military invading our air space. What most of you fail to realize, russia is always messing around .
trust an air force guy stationed in alaska.

      • Patricia says:

Oh, just reading her words makes my head hurt, makes me feel like I’m reading with someone else’s glasses on. SURELY the words strung together are supposed to make sense, but alas, they do not. And just what, exactly, is she doing with those Blackberries? The way she has them fanned out, and why are there two and what are they supposed to represent in the context of a photograph taken for a running magazine? See? My head hurts even more now.

They are right there, RIGHT THERE!

    • Emma Hern says:

She was February 29. A leap year.

  8. Dee says:

She pretty much DID say that. How can someone be in politics and know absolutely nothing about politics? and foreign policy? You’d have to be retarded… at least Bush had people tell him what to say…

PALIN: And, Charlie, you’re in Alaska. We have that very narrow maritime border between the United States, and the 49th state, Alaska, and Russia. They are our next door neighbors. We need to have a good relationship with them. They’re very, very important to us and they are our next door neighbor.

GIBSON: What insight into Russian actions, particularly in the last couple of weeks, does the proximity of the state give you?

PALIN: They’re our next door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska.

GIBSON: What insight does that give you into what they’re doing in Georgia?

PALIN: Well, I’m giving you that perspective of how small our world is and how important it is that we work with our allies to keep good relation with all of these countries, especially Russia.

  9. S.Azreal says:

The woman just bugs me. I don’t hate her(much) just dislike her. She’s got this dictator qauility, especially on her abortion position. But each to their own where they’re politcal insight is.

  10. TC says:

That’s not a US Army mobile, dumb***…it is a Blue Star banner that denotes a family member serving their country. The next step is a Gold Star banner which denotes a family member Killed in Action.

  11. Terry says:

How any person could think this woman was a qualified leader is beyond me. It really shows how well our public schools are educating people when they believe a word that truly are able to say that they believe anything that comes out of this idiot’s mouth. No wonder the Republican party is becoming the party of Trailer Parks across the country. Dumba**es.

    • Shelia says:

Oh, I thought the Republicans were supposed to be the party of the rich “fat cats” who get all the tax breaks and oppress the poor. Please make up your mind. Thanks!

      • Rayy says:

that’s the creepy thing about the republicanparty: it supports the rich fat-cats, but the majority of repulican voters are poor and undereducated.

the ‘fat-cats’ use religion to get the votes of stupid poor people who hear a canidate is against gay marrage (or some such thing… abortion, whatever…) and immediately and completely support them without even bothering to figure out their economic, healthcare, or educational plans, or anything else that might matter to THEM especially (them being the poor and undereducated) NOOOOPE, it’s “HE DON’T WANT THEM QWEER’S MARRY’IN AND THAS ALL I NEED TO KNOW!”

man, now i’ve really depressed myself…

      • Rayy says:

and, god, do i hate you stupid, stupid people…

  12. I don’t think I am ready to live in a world where someone who looks like one of my hot teacher fantasies ends up in the White House.

  13. B says:

This picture is totaly fake, look at the skin tone of the legs and arms compared to her face, she’s way whiter in the face than the legs and arms. You know what the problem is with democrats? They’re all poverished mindless dumba**es who would follow a convicted fellon if the fellon held out a $50 bill in front of them. Democratic citizens are mindless losers who can’t think for themselves. Democratic politicians are twofaced snakes who can’t do anything but make everyone else’s lives miserable. I’ll admit that a lot of Republican politicians are crooks, but they have a lot better policies on how to deal with their people than Democrats do.

    • Skip says:

I thought this was supposed to be an enjoyable site . You went from criticising the Palin picture,to trying to tell us what Democrats & Republicans are. If you would be honest with yourself, you would substitute The word Republican each place you have written Democrat. Then you would be accurate. That’s why the Republican Party has no leader today, and why they were summarily rejected in the last two elections. Switch from Limbaugh & Beck for your info. and you’ll do better. As for Palin; she was your candidate !

    • troy says:

      awkward…

  14. prophotog says:

uuuuuummmmmm B. you seem to be the dumba** here bud. I am a photographer, and i can tell by looking at that photo that it has not been doctored, except for maybe some color correction, the contrast was certainly enhanced, but i dont consider color correction doctoring. If you had half a brain behind your blind eyes, you would see that this photo was taken with 2 light sources one of which a bright white spot, id say about 6 feet off the ground the other light source is the natural light coming through the window. which means her face is covered in makeup and top lit and backlit which in turn would cast a shadow from behind her onto her legs which are not hit by the spotlight. DUH…. anyone who has ever used a camera in their life should be able to discern these things. Just goes to show you anyone who supports this idiot is even dumber than she is.

  15. kris says:

Not a candid photo, but a shot taken for Runner’s World magazine’s “I’m a Runner” (stories of real runners) series. There are several other photos in the article. You can also see Gov. David Patterson, Jennifer Beals, Jon Cryer, Sir James Dyson (vacuums) in the series. Obviously the photographer was trying to incorporate a little irony and humor to add interest. Some take it all way too seriously.

  16. ashley says:

the “mobile” is a flag signifying the fact that her son is away at war just fyi.

but yeah, politicians should wear pants.

that’s all i’ve got to say.

    • Kaytlyn says:

So just because she is a politician she isnt allowed to run in shorts? thats rediculous. I’d like to see you run in a pair of jeans

  17. Jawja Peach says:

Y’all cut down Palin when in reality there’s no way she could have done ANY WORSE than the one who’s in office now! And Mr. Obama sure don’t look near this good… Beauty is something Palin possess, inside and out, and some people are so jealous they can’t do anything but sit around and try to find something wrong. This pic is funny, and I’m sure it was meant to be that way. As of her not ‘answering’ questions..Did you not know she was told ‘not to’?? When she finally cut lose she said a lot and killed our Vice Pres in the last Debate. GO PALIN 2012 YOU GOT MY VOTE FOR SURE!!

  18. Kitty says:

Legs are awfully shiny. Sweat? Pantyhose? YOU be the judge!

  19. Deep Fryer says:

I don’t think this is an awkward picture at all! I think it was actually meant to be a credit card commercial picture, but who knows. I think she looks a little thin, but beautiful. I <3 Sarah Palin. -Sylvia from Texas

  20. Erik says:

    Soooo Hot

Also to all the “But she is dumb” people

    I don’t want her for conversation…

  21. Steve says:

She’s the perfect wife; Wonder Woman with a lobotomy.

  22. useduser says:

Isn’t it an offense to lean on the american flag?

  23. Ahmet Katzharume says:

Obama says there are 57 states in the USA, now that’s dumb!

  24. Heather says:

There’s NOTHING “awkward family” about this photo. Makes me think it was submitted just to start a political debate.

The person who says that Palin could not have done any worse than Obama? Where’s Palin’s Nobel Prize, hmmm? Or even her ability to speak in a coherent fashion?

    • ThaPyngwyn says:

Wait, Palin ran for president against Obama? That’s news to me!

    • Jmart says:

Good call on bringing up the Nobel Peace Prize, he TOTALLY deserved it! He accomplished SOOOO much in the 11 days of being in office to merit him the nomination. You’re absolutely right. And very good to point out their differences in speaking abilities. Obama is an excellent public speaker…..when the teleprompter is working!

People wanted to discredit the McCain campaign BECAUSE of Palin. SHE WAS THE VICE PRESIDENT NOMINEE!!!! What could she have done to hurt the nation? Look at Biden. What has he done? He puts his foot in his mouth about once a month or two, but that’s it. I do think McCain would have been a train wreck however. Either way we were screwed with our options for president. That’s it I’m done. Back to laughing at the photos.

      • Kaytlyn says:

yeah people put politicians in the VP spot that they wanna shut up. i definetly agree that Obama DID NOT deserve the nobel peave prize.

        • Nancy says:

I always hold my breath to see who the winners of the Nobel Peave Prize will be. I actually thought Palin should have won the Peave prize this year. She certainly was more deserving than the President of the Peave prize. I can’t think of a single person who peeved me more than Sarah Palin the past year and a half…

  25. Marissa DeBoer says:

    This is so obviously Photoshopped.

    • Ashley says:

It was shot in July for the August edition of Runner’s World, and it’s now on the cover of Newsweek. Google it.

  26. Ali says:

I love how she also just happens to have her phone out. Makes it seem like this picture was really spur of the moment.

  27. McBush Pain says:

I would hit it if I had the chance

  28. Tim Fister says:

Unable to explain how Old Glory magically attached itself to her elbow, Sarah Palin confounds the press with her deer-in-the-headlights routine yet again: “Can somebody help me with this new phone?” she implored of astonished reporters. “I press the buttons and the darn thing goes whack-a-doodle!”

  29. punko says:

Sarah Palin is cringeworthy without the pants. Liberal loons everywhere should hope she becomes the hope of the GOP since it will ensure failure. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t mean she is incapable of encouraging at least morning wood.

  30. Eat Books says:

Dear God. This is now the cover of Newsweek.

    AFP is psychic.

  31. Jimmy says:

This is hot! God bless America!

  32. Mitur Binesderti says:

I guess she just got done jogging with the flag tied around her neck like a cape.

You Sarah Palin fans remember to vote for her in 2013!

  33. Andy says:

    To commenter number 2:

    Wow.

  34. tommybaas says:

why would palin want to nuke the world if she assumes that she is to be saved by the rapture? nuclear holocaust isn’t supposed to happen for several years after the rapture. ignorant comments made by ignorant people

  35. Cali says:

SO, let me get this straight. I’ve noticed that most of the time, the people who don’t like S.P. either can’t explain why they feel as they do OR say it’s because she is “dumb”. Of course, if you ask the latter people to add upon that thought, they will reuse whatever they heard on CNN or SNL most recently (without any of their own independent verification of the claim) OR resort to the most “effect” retort, “you’re dumb too, nya, nya”…

I make no judgement call (save that which may be implied), I merely would like to ask one simple question: How many states did President Obama say we have again?

    • Smarty says:

“I make no judgement call (save that which may be implied), I merely would like to ask one simple question: How many states did President Obama say we have again?”

Just so I’m clear here, are you saying that Sara Palin is smarter than Barack Obama? Seriously?

      Seriously?

    • Dan says:

Well, since I’ve never met the woman, I guess it’s difficult to point to anything BUT her professional history accompanied by some of the most head-scratching quotes of all time. Like when she said Russia was across the border from Alaska. Or when she couldn’t name a single publication during the Couric interview. Or when she blasted Obama for shifting ‘In God We Trust’ on US currency – which he never did – this was done on George Bush’s watch and later reversed. I also enjoyed her thoughts on the Department of Law (which doesn’t exist) and her take on the role of the Vice President (to overlook the Senate..???). These aren’t quotes made up by the media, folks. They’re taken straight from the horse’s mouth.

Also, Obama was quoted towards the tail-end of a massive cross-country campaign effort. He obviously slipped and said 58 when he meant 48. It’s good to see you have no trouble condemning others for reiterating baseless talking points when you, yourself, are very guilty.

btw: Sorry to break it to you folks, but she ain’t all that and a can of beans.

  36. Kayla says:

Aww, this is actually not a bad pic, Sarah Palin is gorgeous.

    • diondrum says:

Yes she is. Too bad people like those that run awkwardfamilyphotos are out to smear her for having the temerity to speak her mind. Remember, leftists only believe in free speech when it echoes their sentiments.

    • diondrum says:

And don’t forget; this website is dedicated to poking fun at everyday people. It’s a perfect metaphor for how leftist statists see the American public–i.e. stupid. This dumb website is a wonderful demonstration of the pettiness, malevolence and hypocrisy of today’s oh-so-tolerant Democrat.

  37. Charles says:

I’m an Army veteran who was wounded & spent six months in Walter Reed US Army Medical Center, recovering from my wounds, plus another two years in physiotherapy, so I could walk again.

I support the US, the US military and the Republican Party.

And my dog is smarter than SP.

She is an embarrassment to America & the Republican Party.

  38. Charles says:

Sarah Palin has a pretty face. She also had good handlers in the Republican party. She served 2 years only as Governor, quitting office half way through. That is her only experience. She is not qualified for the office of President.

  39. Rachelle says:

Does anyone notice the blackberries in her hand! BTW Go Steph!! way to preach it

  40. Rachelle says:

you guys come on this is not a political debate, hmmmmm and lets see your obama mccain or palin ur up on stage lets see if you DONT screw up…. Seriously back to laughing now.

  41. Rachelle says:

you guys come on this is not a political debate, hmmmmm and lets see your obama mccain or palin ur up on stage lets see if you DONT screw up…. Seriously back to laughing now.

  42. BJ says:

Doesdoes no one get the significance of the blackberry in her hand!

  43. Heather says:

The comments on here are hilarious! Just more sociological proof that if you post up anything political people are going to fight like cats and dogs. Seriously to the awkward picture does anyone else notice the pink moccasins?
