    • betheremnant says:

why were her legs in that position…that’s not a typical falling position AT ALL! Her hair is what rocked it though!

  5. missturtle says:

My 4 year old would get right up and try it again. I am just amazed they caught that very moment in time. Lucky.

  6. nicswife says:

yeah umm not funny. or awkward, just straight up painful, and sad.

    • amigo says:

you have no sense of humor. Why are you looking at this site?

    • Lacie says:

Omg, laugh a bit! I agree with amigo and Tonya, why are you even on this site???

      • nicswife says:

i laugh at a lot of stuff. just not physical pain. i’m not saying “take the photo down” or anything like some other people but i can certainly put out there that i think its painful and sad. oh and i have an awesome sense of humor….. just sayin!

    • Amanda says:

Well, it could’ve just been taken at a bad angle like most of those photos. I’ve taken plenty of pictures that came out looking like something they weren’t.

Doesn’t stop me from worrying a little, though. *Hopefully* it just came out wrong, someone clicked at the wrong moment.

    • Esther says:

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!! No, this IS funny…. Little kids bounce right back; they’re very resilliant. She’s totally fine. And this is totally funny!!!! SHe probably saw a bigger kid take a flying start, and she probably did too much UP and not enough FORWARD. Ha ha ha ha haaa!!!! Yeah, this is funny. I care not what you say:). I agree with amigo down there, in a totally friendly way. You seem like an Oprah fan….

    • cf says:

You’re right…it’s hilarious! Gosh, how many times did I do something like that as a kid? How many times have I seen my kid do something similar? The only time a fall like that is not side-splitting is when someone gets hurt.

  7. Maureen says:

    That’s gonna leave a mark

  8. laughing_hard says:

  12. Alicia says:

    splat!

  13. joe says:

OH MAN! that is such a awesome action pic

  14. Lisha says:

Well I guess I’m an awful person, and mother at that, because I really got a laugh from this photo! I have two toddlers and this is something that both of them would do, then promptly get up, laugh, and do it again!

    • Gourd says:

Yea, this photo looks bad just because it caught the exact moment she hit the ground. Likely the whole fall wasn’t a big deal.

…I tell myself so I can sleep at night.

  15. Cee says:

My guess is that it probably looks worse than it was. At least nothing that a hug couldn’t cure.

  16. mjdg says:

Biting it on the first run….PRICELESS!!!!
I laughed so hard I cried!!! The mom in me gasped and cringed and wants to scoop her up and hug her, but the human side can’t stop laughing! Poor lil’ thing! Yes, I agree, whoever took this got very lucky w/ the timing!

  33. AWallenstein says:

To the people who can’t figure out where the other guy’s leg is:

The leg is probably still in the air, behind him. He most likely lifted it off the ground as he pushed, in order to achieve greater force (which probably seemed like a good idea at the time). Now it’s frozen in mid-air as he has forgotten to put it down since the only two thoughts running through his mind are now “HOLY SH** HOLY SH** HOLY SH**!!!!” and “DID MY WIFE SEE? HOLY SH***”

On a personal note: This reminds me of the time my dad was watching us and we rented Karate Kid, which led to us doing karate-kicks and kicking plastic cups off of objects. This led to him kicking cups off of my head. Then he tried to kick one off my baby sister’s head. He overcompensated for her shorter stature and kicked her right in the face. It was hilarious once we figured out she was fine haha.

  34. Gina says:

This one made me laugh as hard as the one of the kid in midfall down the steps from either the 60’s or ’70s. It’s not that I’m laughing at a little kid possibly being hurt, it’s just the timing of the photo is so spot on you can’t help but laugh. I remember smashing my head pretty hard as a toddler (including during an ill advised attempt to jump over the coffee table and land on the couch. Head meet windowsill…) and survived, so a slip n slide isn’t going to cause permanent injury. I’ve fallen down stairs too, it’s not fun, but not permanently disfiguring.

  35. BTrlicek says:

Oh soooo funny! Whoever snapped that pic has perfect timing!

  36. Tavin says:

I think that the leg is really just a spike to hold the slip-n-slide in place and isn’t actually attached to a human..

  37. Allison says:

I can imagine the moment of pure silence while she takes a deep breath…and then breaks the sound barrier.

  38. Parrothead says:

OMG, I just laughed so hard…

  39. CG13 says:

OMG. So funny. Poor thing! I can definitely see my daughter doing that, getting up and saying “Again!!!” That’s why it’s okay to laugh at it…I’m sure she was fine.

I hated slip n slides though. First time I went down one, they forgot to check for ROCKS first. Never did it again!
