@Elizabeth, I was going to guess this was taken in Turkey, too, not only because of the landscape, but because the pincher move is one you often see Turkish guys doing with their girlfriends when they’re out strolling in public, at least in Istanbul (not sure what that means about the relationship in this photo). It’s the most ridiculous thing – the guys’ fingers move all around one side of the woman’s face (more stroking than pinching). Not sure how the women put up with it.
In most families you only have to watch out for the old ladies who you see only once a year that grab your face and say how cute you are! By the look on this poor kid’s face, he obviously gets this on a regular basis from Dad.

A quick, energetic back-hand from the boy would be understandable at this moment. “You know what’s really funny, Dad? That picture of you falling off the balcony.”
I like his subtle use of the low wall combined with the his right leg to produce a reverse shelf, a rarely attempted manouver and an even rarer instance of capturing a perfect one on film.
This photographer got lucky and they’re oblivious to it!
