@Kayla: His shoes aren’t grounds for assuming he is disabled! And nobody was making fun of him by commenting on his shoes!
@Shaneeequa: I think those are these special shoes that pro atheletes wear in order to improve their coordination and muscles in their legs. I don’t know what they’re called, but I know that a lot of basketball players wear them while training.
Love how the new digital watch is in the picture, too. I wonder if it had a calculator on it so Joseph could make it through his fourth-grade times tables.
This is a great photo to scroll down. First, I saw the gold valance and the tree topper. Then, some lame ornaments. Then, the top of a wicker chair. Then, the grand finale, all at once, the mad li’l dude, the Mr. Coffee, and the TV-in-a-bag.
Actually, the more I look at the little guy the more I think it’s a young Bruce Banner. He looks pretty p!$$ed and I believe he is about to turn into the hulk. (Rawr)
Something is wrong with people who can’t take a joke. As a comedian I can tell you that most people with disabilities love when you poke fun at them. So many people (people like you) tip toe around them and make them feel excluded from the general population. It’s like a breath of fresh air when someone realizes that they’re people too and perfectly capable of taking a good joke. There’s a difference between joking and bullying. I’m not saying we should all just pick on people with disabilities. I just think people (people like you) need to lighten up. Most of the time you’re probably more offended than they are.

JOSEPH I THINK YOU WERE THE CUTEST THING WITH YOUR SMILE THERE. CHRISTMAS IS FUN ISN’T IT???
I had those curtains in my house as a kid.
This is amazing…He looks sooooo dissapointed
I think he reminds me a little of the “kid Grinch” In the remake with Jim Carrey. But less facial hair. But not that much less green..
… And then they brought out the real gifts… cheeseburgers.
nice wicker chair to amp up the 80s factor
THis kid is a cutie, probably tired because dad woke him up so dad could open hs Mr. Coffee.
Check out that groovy tv – scary thing is I remember those. *hangs head in shame*
Somehow, the light in that room and the general feeling of the picture give me the impression it’s actually July…………. weird…??!?!
There is a lot of work gone into that tree.
It could be worse. He could have gotten a pink bunny suit from Aunt Millie!

It’s DAnny Devito
this kid is amazing

I wonder if one of the other boxes is Mr. Radar.
that tree is like a monster of angst. to much harry potter?
lovely child.
Mom behind the camera: “Come on now, SMILE! It’s Christmas!”
We may have to chain the boy down for his birthday.
Actually, the more I look at the little guy the more I think it’s a young Bruce Banner. He looks pretty p!$$ed and I believe he is about to turn into the hulk. (Rawr)
If you straighten the picture the tree’s crooked.
This made me laugh out loud ! This is so funny. “I wanted stretch armstrong not a strong cup of coffee mom!!!”
somebody’s a grumpy christmas elf!
GRUMPY CHRISTMAS ELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hahahahahahahaha!
Anybody else curious to hear stories about how these people are doing NOW after 20 or so years have gone by??
That would kind of destroy the magic. Don’t you think? If you’re not left to wonder… it’s kind of like explaining a joke, you know?
I agree. I’d love a “where are they now” photo of almost ALL these 1960s to 70s families. lol
What about the TV covered in plastic in the background??
Apparently the family is too awkward to watch television.
CANDY…………………………. I SAID I WANTED CANDY…………………..!
That kid is hilariously cute.
“How does this prepare me for my BarMitzvah?”
What’s with his shoes? He has 5″ soles.
That is not even funny, he can not help his physical disabilities!!! Something is wrong with people who make fun of others who can not help it.

Oh yes, most people just LOVE being made fun of.
I’m not physically disabled! I mean, I was fat, but that doesn’t count.
do you feel offended when its even mentioned that someone is fat?
Those aren’t soles of his feet; he’s wearing slippers! It was a joke from the camera angle. No one’s making fun of any disability.
