Sorry to be pedantic but “plaid” is gaelic for blanket
the fact that their blankets were tartan has perhaps confused the language but officially the pattern is called “tartan”
Looks like the 2 front girls are sharing plaid pajamas. One wears the top, one wears the bottom!!
Cute family and a great idea. Who wants a family photo that has everyone all dressed up and uncomfortable anyway? This would be a great Christmas card photo.
Haha classic 90s attire!
original family of LL Bean
Al Boreland
What? Isn’t this what all American’s look like?
omg, this could be my family. Every we have a family get-together and I try to take a photo, each of my brothers, my sister, and mom will all have on a different plaid or pattern. It’s like playing “Where’s Waldo” to find the faces when you look at the photo later.
Plaid is the loneliest color…that you ever knew.
Looks like the “Bay City Rollers” made a comeback…..
One of these things is not like the other,
One of these just doesn’t belong…
Bay City Rollers fans??
oh no, this is very wrong.
“I don’t have a plaid shirt…”
“Here, wear the bottoms to dad’s pajamas, I’m wearing the top.”
“What?! Why do you get to wear the top?”
“Ya snooz ya lose!!”
Dare to be different!
I find it kind of funny. I find it kind of sad. The dreams in which I’m dying are the best I’ve ever had.
I find it hard to tell you, cuz I find it hard to take.
When people run in circles it’s a very, very…plaid world.
Plaid world.
i think the shirt the woman with the red headband is wearing goes with the pants the woman with the white shirt is wearing. looks like it was a pajama set, and both of them didn’t have anything plaid for the family portrait so they decided to split the pajama set: one took the shirt, the other took the pants. hahahaha
that’s me on the left and lord knows what was going thru our heads other than how awesome we must look.
LMAO!! I love this picture…especially since this is my family!!
Okay, the turtleneck with tucked-in paid shirt and braided belt and boots of some sort was the uniform of my mom in the mid-90′s during the winter. At least she didnt wear the baseball cap with the ponytail coming out, yet secured with a scrunchie like this one mom did LOL
I actually know this family…awesome family. But hey, we all have our hilarious family photos from the 80′s & 90′s! LOL
Yep, I knew the girl in plaid pants back in high school… never expected to see her on this website.
I’ll take the plaid shirt over the plaid pants ANYDAY.
i’ve had to tell my dad many times “plaid DOESN’T match plaid!” i can just imagine the conversation leading up to the pic “what are you wearing?” “plaid! you?” “also plaid!”
it’s like Twin Peaks
In Seattle, this IS formal wear.
How did they decide who was gonna wear the plaid pants? Draw straws? Looks like sis was the big winner!
Plaid helps camouflage the crossbows.
Don’t you mean ‘compund bow’??? LOL
Wait…do the girls have on pajama’s??? The girl on the right is wearing the pants and the girl in the center is wearing the shirt??? Hmmm…looks like it to me!
It’s a plaid, plaid,plaid, plaid World! LMAO
Awesome reference.
The family member on the right thinks it’s “Hammer Time”.
she never got the memo… matching SHIRTS.
She misread the memo!
I think I actually like them and their shirts/pants.
NIKE High tops, untied, toung out and jeans tucked in perfect!
yes and standing on the side of his feet showing he is SO excited to be wearing this super cool outfit!
Love it!!!!!
What? No kilts?
