OK you could sail a boat with those pants, and the skates WOW and above all he PAID for these pics, and not like 5.99 Wal Mart paid he PAID for these LM*O Poor sap, but he made my morning LOL
haha! the too tight turtleneck, the bell bottoms, the and the roller-skates! It’s just too much for words. And not to mention the fact that the guy put on this outfit and said to himself: “Hmm… Now THIS needs to be immortalized by Olan Mills!” lol
The photographer actually had the nerve to imprint his/her logo on it – in gold! I’m guessing this is circa 1975. Is it me, or are his left hand knuckles severely bruised and swollen? {{{Shivers}}}
This is wrong on so many levels. Sort of like the color-coded Homeland Security threat system, except in a hopelessly monochromatic scheme … approaching the stark white alert level.
Tamara, I think it’s from the mid-70s, it just has that vibe … especially the bad polyester.
omg…….i just imagined the tone and inflection of your voice and promptly spewed my cocktail all over my keyboard. kudos to you my friend!!!!!! you made my night!
My guess would be late 70s / early 80s. If this photo were to be animated, I’d swear he was one of the bad guys from Scooby Doo! (think about it…he’s wearing roller skates. So many of the bad guys wore roller skates to pass themselves off as ghosts and monsters. ) “I’d have gotten the gold if it weren’t for those pesky kids!!”

This could be my favorite yet

HAHAHAHAHAHAH YOU made my life – “you could sail a boat with those pants.” Priceless!
He’s The Roller Skating Grey Ninja. He attacks only at dusk.
Hahahaha! I can’t stop laughing!
that’s HOT!
Uncle Bob?
Hot damn!! Obviously only one word to describe this photo……… SEXY!!! L O L
Oh my giddy aunt! Sensationally Awkward in so many ways.
Holy CRAP. This is absolutely, without a doubt, the most absurdly awkward photo I’ve ever seen in my life. I need to know this man’s life.
I’m think I’m in love.

Oh, m-an…
This should be a charter member of the AFP Hall of Fame.
Hmmm I am having my portrait taken today. What shall I wear? I know, something POLYESTER two sizes too small & Roller skates! YES!
LOL!!!
Well, judging by the bell bottoms and the fact that the skates are old-style, I’d say 70s or early 80s.
The photographer actually had the nerve to imprint his/her logo on it – in gold! I’m guessing this is circa 1975. Is it me, or are his left hand knuckles severely bruised and swollen? {{{Shivers}}}
‘bruised and swolen’ – I would guess he probably has had his as* kicked a few times for this whole ‘look’…
Uuuuhhhhhhh…..
:::looking around nervously:::
“the elephant in the room Part II”
Hahahahahhahahahahah! NICE!
is that a ring on his left hand?
nicely accessorized
this is going to haunt me for weeks.
Oh no My Gosh!!! I would say 70s
Anatomy, indeed.
wow… thought the head may have been photoshopped in…
the only thing that would make this MORE awkward… if he was a mime.
at first i though you wrote “if he was mine”. now THAT would be the only thing that could make this more awkward.
Rod- That’s what I thought she said too! I was trying to imagine what it would be like if he was mine, but the idea was too awkward!
…I thought the same at first, Rod!! LOL
Lordy, now I can’t stop laughing.
I read it that way, too! *snort*
Samsies!
i think i have some bad news for you…..
Hillarious!
yikes.
Too nasty for words! Maybe B&W film would have improved it!
I’ve never seen anything quite like it.
that’s putting it mildly
All cool cats are gray in the dark. The rollerskates.. Oh, the roller skates! So, so classy.
This is wrong on so many levels. Sort of like the color-coded Homeland Security threat system, except in a hopelessly monochromatic scheme … approaching the stark white alert level.
Tamara, I think it’s from the mid-70s, it just has that vibe … especially the bad polyester.
I can’t remember anything but big flowers and platform shoes from my elementary school years in the 70s!!
Wow.
What is that on his left hand?
Well, anyway, he certainly looks… happy. That’s fer sure.
Omg. I can’t think of any thing to write, except for what I just wrote.
Olan Mills…you’ve outdone yourselves yet again.
the 1970s, of course!
hilarious! i don’t understand anything about this picture.
the skates and bell bottoms scream 70s
Usually, by the clothes and hair styles I can kind of figure out the decade the picture was taken but this one has me baffled. Any guesses?
I think maybe the 70′s???? The rollerskates are old school— it can’t be any later than early 80s. But those pants! It’s got to be the 70s
hahahaha
Last Thursday!
Polyester/Sansabelt bell bottom slacks, turtleneck – gotta be vintage 1976!
1976…that means I’m vintage
That. Is. A. Unitard!
omg…….i just imagined the tone and inflection of your voice and promptly spewed my cocktail all over my keyboard. kudos to you my friend!!!!!! you made my night!
sansabelt!!! HAHAHAHA! who could forget those!
Definitely 70′s… The rollerskates and bell bottoms give it away!
My guess would be late 70s / early 80s. If this photo were to be animated, I’d swear he was one of the bad guys from Scooby Doo! (think about it…he’s wearing roller skates. So many of the bad guys wore roller skates to pass themselves off as ghosts and monsters. ) “I’d have gotten the gold if it weren’t for those pesky kids!!”
lol…
hahaha
HAHAHA! Best comment!!! Scooby Doo villain totally!
My eyes, my eyes…runs away
late 70s, early 80s. trying to make the crossover…i mean rollover. perhaps he was working on some mind blowing grey screen special effect technology!
or he was trying out for an “extra” role in TRON
A tribute to Xanadu?
LOL!! LOL!!
I listened to the Xanadu soundtrack so many times when I was a kid, my mom finally had to hide it from me.
***Don’t Walk Awaaaaay***
Olan Mills strikes again!
Well he should’ve worn grey shoes too. That’s why he’s not blending into the background.
Those aren’t shoes. lol They’re roller-skates.
but you can get matching covers
Hands down most awkward photo on here. So many things wrong with this picture.
Wait a minute! Is this the time conscious Speedo model 10 years later?!?!?!
Uhhh… wow.
This is simply awesome, a case of true awkwardness, even though my dreams will be haunted by this gray specter for weeks.
OH.MY.GOD………
…..Becky, look at his skates. They’re so…awkward!
LOL to Becky!!!!
This picture is just too much!!!
PERFECT!!!! LOL!!!
why? i am so confused…
This is perfect in every way. My life is now complete. No additional awkward photos necessary, thank you.
Ditto! Too funny.
Just when I think the epitome of awkwardness has been reached, yet another photo, such as this appears.
Uh.
You are not alone.
Is that a huge ring on his left hand? LOL And the roller skates. Oh lordy…
It’s his skate key. He didn’t want to loose it so I tied it on.
YOU tied it on??? did you actually have something to do with the taking of this photograph??? (there are no slips, dr. freud…)
those are lace up boot skates that don’t require a key.
next theory please!
WOW! I’m speechless!
Completely speechless!!
That’s seriously creepy……..
my thoughts exactly…..
I was always freaked out in scary movies by the floating head.
This is so terribly awkward, I can’t even stand to look at it. There are just too many questions that I know will never be answered…..
Yeah um…..yeah. Where to start? Gotta love Olan Mills!
my thoughts exactly!
I know, right? LOL!
it’s almost painful to look at isnt it?
what pose is he trying to achieve????
He’s going for that ready-for-action look.
I agree. This is so painful that I’m embarassed for Mr.Grey.
I choose to reply to your comment…coz like you I’m at a loss of words hahaha!!!!
He has rollerskates on!! Hahahahah
omg – you are right – that is hilarious! What a goof ball : )
ROFL I didn’t even notice that extra awkward bit until reading your post. There is just so much wrong with this picture.
OR:
Gandalf, Portrait of a Young Wizard: in those carefree days before the threat of Sauron & the One Ring.
Ha! I love it!
LAUGHING. MY. BUM. OFF!!
(periods make such profound difference when making a statement. Don’t you think?)
