For people who don’t understand why this is awkward:
- Dad looks stubbornly ready to have a very organized vacation, with tripticks from AAA, guidebooks and schedules
- Mom’s going along with it
- maybe the half-smilling dude from the left is also going along with it
- but the two in the back on the right are freaked and are trying to wonder how they agreed to this in the first place and how to get out of it.
Sincerely,
marnie
I love the gum covered scenic background. Beauuuuu-tiful. It looks like the girl is in mid sentence…’Hurry up and get this pic so we can leave already!’ or maybe she is saying, ‘you didn’t set the camer timer rig–’ CLICK.
This looks like in front of some hotel or the place they have reservations. Just got of the plane or long car trip and the hotel staff or resort people are like “WELCOME WELCOME, time for a picture” they are so tired, hungry and caught off guard – all they want to do is check in to their room.
Looks like every family photo my mother-in-law takes. Doesn’t matter if you want to be in the picture, if you’re horrible ill, just given birth, whatever. As long as everyone present is IN the picture, it’s a success. And she’ll take a half hour to make sure it happens.
Whoa – I think I know exactly where this photo was taken, and it’s not a vacation destination. It’s a plaza between office buildings in Bethesda, MD, where there is this crazy sculpture, a fountain, and the Original Pancake House.
Their younger sibling is taking the picture and they’re sick of waiting for the kid to snap the photo, but Mom is smiling because she thinks it’s adorable.
10 bucks says they are in Branson, Missouri and ate at McDonald’s on the way up from Arkansas, but mom made them get milk with their meals. They also stuffed their pockets with granola bars before going to Silver Dollar City. The kid with the longer ‘burns got the best score at Pirate’s Cove mini golf and that is the only pair of shoes the girl packed.
I’m sorry but you are totally wrong, Brits DON’T wear socks and sandals, that’s a German thing. And no-one in this picture is even wearing socks and sandals…so they maybe Brits, but they don’t look that British to me. Me being a Brit and all.

Thank you so much for explaining it all.
Maybe the dad is upset that he was scolded for forgetting the serving spoon for the casserole? Just saying…lol
It doesn’t look like Disneyworld.
Just because cargo shorts have pockets on the legs doesn’t mean you should stuff them full.
true that, true that!!!In fact, better off left alone…
thats why they invented fanny packs!!
Girl on the upper right is QUITE hot!
You should see her now!!!

Eeeww! Is that what that is? His backpack is sitting on it.
Dad didn’t get the sideburns memo
The missing cast from True Blood.

Dude, the caption is awesome.

I don’t care what y’all say… Dad ROCKS… stuffed pockets ‘n all.
Dad’s got the cash and credit cards…so enjoy your vacation people!
Dude in orange seriously looks like the coolest mofo on earth.

DUDE! I totally recognized that, too! I’m from there- went to Walt Whitman High School!! Weird.
lol The two younger guys would think their sideburns look cool with a dad like that.
I think it is interesting to see how much the sons take after their Dad and the daughter looks like a clone of her Mom. I love genetics.
Their younger sibling is taking the picture and they’re sick of waiting for the kid to snap the photo, but Mom is smiling because she thinks it’s adorable.
Its a food pyramid for cannibals, obviously

Well Done!
It’s in Bethesda, MD. You owe me $10.
What is mom doing with her hands??
They all look like they were in the middle of saying something. Except the dad. The dad just looks angry.
Whoa. I know exactly where this is, it’s about 3 blocks from my apt. I have no idea why anyone would want a picture there.
I like their sons
OMG I’ve been there it’s called “The Grotto” and it’s somewhere in Iowa! And it sucked…
Nope, for sure it’s Bethesda, MD right across from the Pancake house.
Socks (especially Argyll diamond checked ones) are a real “Brit on holiday” giveaway when worn with sandals.
The father is wearing socks, but they aren’t argyle and he’s not wearing sandals. I don’t see socks on anyone else.

I dont know what he is talking about either anna!
