Mom vowed one day when she had money she would get timmy some professional photos taken. So she lumped in all of Timmys acheivements from birth in one awkward picture. First Umbrella, First steps, First trophy, First medal…Mom got her moneys worth that day!!!
I love the way the sunlight is coming in and hiting this lad from the East…and then the effect of either fog or smoke coming out from behind him. The whole picture is a mess. Makes me wonder if this is the son of the man that takes the photos at the Sears Portrait Stuido….goofing around with his big sister while they wait for dad to finish up with the Oigemburger family in the next cubby over.
Is that a Tiger figurine perched upon the stool? I wonder what he got the medal for. Wow, this picture just blows me away, no pun intended….and there apparently is a gale force wind coming in from the right side!
Somewhere in Texas, Hank Hill is looking at this picture of Bobby that Peggy hung in the family room, shaking his head and murmuring under his breath again.
You’re right- when you think it’s Bobby Hill, suddenly it makes so much more sense. The Hill family photo album would probably be the epitome of awkward family photos.
It’s not easy being Gene Kelly’s son. Sadly, when the party got really going strong he was forced to perform that song again:
I’m singing in the rain
Just singing in the rain
What a glorious feelin’
I’m happy again
I’m laughing at clouds
So dark up above
The sun’s in my heart
And I’m ready for love
Let the stormy clouds chase
Everyone from the place
Come on with the rain
I’ve a smile on my face
I walk down the lane
With a happy refrain
Just singin’,
Singin’ in the rain
I love Gene Kelly and that song!
BTW it seems to me the boy’s an actor and probably quite experienced. Experienced actors will do all sorts of things out of their comfort zone.
Right after the picture was snapped, Marney walked over and pinched those cheeks, whipped that cap off and planted a big kiss on top of his head. That was worth more to him than any trophy – The Marney Seal of Approval.
what I don’t understand is that it is a professionally done photo. He has a great attitude. He brought stuff with him that either means something to him or represents something or is at least suppose to create some sort of story.
And he does all of that and does it in jeans and a t-shirt?
My thoughts exactly. There’s a good series of portraits in this kid waiting to get out, but the photographer (or mom) lumped them all up into one picture. Change his clothes if he’s a dancer- or take off his sneakers or something. Pose him with the trophies separately. There are a lot of ways to make this not awkward.
And yea, the Lord shineth His light upon the squat, celebratory boy in the glory of the “honorable mention” trophy and the Winnie the Pooh umbrella, purchased by his mother.
Well put, I was trying to figure out how to describe the rainbow twinkle coming down on him. THIS is my vote for “best comment.” lol. You could win an honorable mention, too!
Know what I love? The poof of smoke behind him mingled with the prism of rainbow that twinkles above the 15th place trophy- right to his heart. Yes, he is a winner.
Wow…simply amazing…Winnie the Pooh umbrella. The “coolest” pose ever. Some tiny trophy and some small medal. Even some of the cool rebellious spirit in that hat.
He is destined to do great things one day in his parents basement. His mom will be so proud.
That isn’t a poof of smoke..that is a parting in the line of trees in the forest he is walking through…I don’t think this photo is so much awkward.. its more WT*??? but hilarious and worthy of this site just the same.
I think some people are becoming a bit desensitized to awkwardness, with all this awkward exposure. Do you honestly not see how/why this is awkward? This is one of the more awkward ones that have been posted lately!
***Any comments that are offensive to the point of being viciously personal, racist, homophobic, exceedingly profane, violent or too graphic in nature won't be posted. We want to keep this site a friendly place to be awkward. Thanks!***

this is totally Bobby Hill in human form.
I hope he doesn’t suddenly get pounced by a T – I – double G – ER.
LOL!!! Love this comment.

this kinda made my night.
Bobby Hill
OMG – yes!!
The trophy is for best “Singin’ in the Rain” routine.
Looks like the photographer got in a bunch of new props/ideas that he wanted to use all at once? So painful to view…
he is totally rocking the Christopher Robin pose. haven’t any of you seen pictures of the lad? he’s doing the pose! come-on!
Oh, you’re right! Love his spunk.
1) He’s THE Winner, hands down.
2) New category recommendation: Awkward Umbrellas!
3) I love this kid and the hat takes it over the edge
Hcw80. Bobby Hill!! Exactly what I was thinking of!! Hilarious!!
Cross bow?

The beams of light are a very odd.
As if God is shining down upon his Pooh-Bear coolness.

Were his awards for Singing in the Rain, perchance?
Maybe he is saying, “tut, tut, looks like rain”, cause he has a Winnie the Pooh umbrella!
Somewhere in Texas, Hank Hill is looking at this picture of Bobby that Peggy hung in the family room, shaking his head and murmuring under his breath again.
WINNER! Gotta love Hank, Peggy and the irrepressible Bobby.
You’re right- when you think it’s Bobby Hill, suddenly it makes so much more sense. The Hill family photo album would probably be the epitome of awkward family photos.
Is this the child from the Pooh family photo at age 10? Inquiring minds want to know.
He might have played Christopher Robin.

I love that you chose the name Don Lockwood.
And Andy Richter gets his start
HAHAHAHA!!! Awesome!
Olan Mills–the gauntlet has been thrown down!
Future guest star on GLEE!
Awkward, yes, but darn it, I like it LOL.
Well, God bless him, the little guy is comfortable with who he is. He’s a lot better off than most of us. Way to go, little champ.
Awkward? More like epic
This picture is great! What a cool kid!
Right after the picture was snapped, Marney walked over and pinched those cheeks, whipped that cap off and planted a big kiss on top of his head. That was worth more to him than any trophy – The Marney Seal of Approval.

Agree with prior post. Clearly is accepting the junior Gene Kelley award from his basement ballroom class.
JAZZ HANDS!
He’s a winner all right.
gotta love the sheer confidence of the kid.
He is plucky, alright. Wonder if the theme was more like, “No one’s gonna rain on my parade!”
And Lo, the Clouds Parted, and God Did Shine Down His Radiance Upon Billy and his Winnie the Pooh Umbrella Talent Show Dance Routine.
…And The Decree Went Forth From That Day Hence That He Would Be Addressed Only As, “The Award-Winning Billy”.
Ha! This is so cute. I love it. I think the best part is the ray of light coming in from the right of the frame.
Oh my…whose idea was this? And by that, I mean…who should he hold responsible for paying for his therapy later?
Actually, awkwardness aside, I do like his happy-go-lucky spirit.
a pitcture to commemorate his achievement in the dance competition hosted by rihanna.
Exactly what I was thinking…he’s rocking the umbrella….ella…ella
Yo, kid, I’m really happy for you and I,mma let you finish, but So You Thin You Can Dance is the best dance contest ever. The BEST contest EVER!
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! ~~~~ EVER!
I don’t care; this kid is awesome
The Pooh Umbrella is clearly there cause my brother is about to Make it Rain with Coaches Awards and Most Participation Medalions.
its a very random pic but its breath taking
And yea, the Lord shineth His light upon the squat, celebratory boy in the glory of the “honorable mention” trophy and the Winnie the Pooh umbrella, purchased by his mother.
And it was good.
And it was awkward.
Well put, I was trying to figure out how to describe the rainbow twinkle coming down on him. THIS is my vote for “best comment.” lol. You could win an honorable mention, too!
At the very least, a trophy or medal!
It’
s okay, he’s just showing off his “Most Awkward Kid” award. And he’s doing it in awkward fashion. He makes dad proud.
Know what I love? The poof of smoke behind him mingled with the prism of rainbow that twinkles above the 15th place trophy- right to his heart. Yes, he is a winner.
I saw it, too, but I could not put it in words as superbly as you just did
hahahaha, i was just about to comment on that!
Wow…simply amazing…Winnie the Pooh umbrella. The “coolest” pose ever. Some tiny trophy and some small medal. Even some of the cool rebellious spirit in that hat.
He is destined to do great things one day in his parents basement. His mom will be so proud.
OH, YES! Let’s hope he does slightly better than that. but WIN!
But they will always have this picture to remember it, professionally.
That isn’t a poof of smoke..that is a parting in the line of trees in the forest he is walking through…I don’t think this photo is so much awkward.. its more WT*??? but hilarious and worthy of this site just the same.
Winnie the Pooh umbrella = totally cool, or totally awkward.
What, was the award for best dance routine to “Singin’ In The Rain”?
It’s okay lonely trophy sitting on the stool, you’ll have your time to shine someday.
Haha, adorably hilarious pose. I love it.
Watch out, El Nino blowing in from the left.
Ha ha ha!!!
I am totally confused as to what’s going on here. Can someone explain?
How is this at all awkward? If this is then some of my pics from when I was a kid should make it for sure!!
You must have had some awkward kid pics, then!
I think some people are becoming a bit desensitized to awkwardness, with all this awkward exposure. Do you honestly not see how/why this is awkward? This is one of the more awkward ones that have been posted lately!
Clearly he’s up in the club, he just broke up, and he’s doing his own little thing.
This is awkward because he went into a studio with this stuff. It’s not a random picture taken at home!
I’d be worried even if it was taken @ home!
I think he’s adorable!
lol. This is hilarious. Love how he’s rocking that Winnie the Pooh umbrella.
Dear Lord, didn’t even see that! The Winnie the Pooh umbrella makes it even more pathetic!
Pathetic…there you are wrong my darling. There is none cooler than this cat right here.
I have a picture just like this, only I’m playing my accordion. Should I be worried?
You need to put it up here!
You’re holding an umbrella while playing the accordion? Gotta see it,Rebekah!
