I attend with my two boys as well, but if Dad were still alive, one parent would stay in the waiting room with the other child. Also, quite frankly, aren’t teenage children allowed the privacy of their own visit to the dentist? Mine at least are still under 11.
I recently attended a tooth extraction with my host family and it was something like this. One of the dental assistants filmed the entire procedure on a camera phone.
When I was little my brothers and I would run around in the exam room while each of our family members got their teeth cleaned. Our hygienist was so nice, she would just chat with us and let us press the buttons. I didn’t realize how weird it was until now D:
How freakin’ bizarre. The kid is petrified – the wild look in her eyes, the way she’s gripping the armrests. Like she needs the added stress of having everyone crowd into the room and watch!
Just to give a better idea, (I’m the submitter and the one in the chair) the dentist is my uncle. Then there’s my brothers, my dad, and my cousin, plus a lady who I guess worked for my uncle. Grandma just thought this was a great time for a family picture!
LOL, I’m sure she would have, if she were still alive! Given the kerfuffle this has caused on Facebook today, I’m think the only one in the family who knew this picture existed!
Sarah, can you identify the redhead on the T-shirt the girl on the far left is wearing? Or brunette, maybe – but Jill wouldn’t wear a vest, I don’t think…

I think the whole thing is staged – No dentist works standing up. Think grandma just wanted a picture of everyone and so they crowded in.
