This LWD never understood why it was the one who had to go to the groomer.

I have seen so many pictures of people who look like their dogs…… this is NOT one of those. This dog seems to be saying with his eyes, “Help, I have been dognapped.”

  2. Kelly says:

    wearing the mullet with pride!

  3. Jeff B. says:

“Old McDonald had a farm…a sick twisted farm…”

  4. Moose says:

This is so awkward its almost creepy.

  5. Joan says:

I just don’t get the single person pictures let alone those with pets.

    • Maureen says:

      Not everyone has someone.

    • DavidE says:

There are several reasons for single people to get photos. Parents and relatives might like a photo, and there are times when you need a professional photo for publications.

      • Sunny Lea says:

“and there are times when you need a professional photo for publications”

Yes, but not with the dog. Well, I guess it depends on the profession.

        • imlovingattention says:

well there is a weather guy in my city that always has his dog with him and the dog is in all his publication photos and occasionally on air… the darn dog is just as known as he is!

          • Maggie says:

            well there ya go!

one of our friends is single and she loves her dog so she had nice portraits made incorporating the dog, I love the pics myself I think its sweet.

Of course my friend is an attractive you woman, I think that helps…

    • Kristin says:

How about because they’d like to have a professional portrait done? I don’t understand what there is not to get, it seems straight forward and logical to me.

  6. AT says:

    EPIC mullet and moustache combination

  7. Laura says:

    Awkward….or ADORABLE!

  8. HeatherW says:

A strange combination of Rodney Dangerfield, Billy Ray Cyrus circa 1991, and Newman from Seinfeld. Just add poodle.

  9. CarpoolMom says:

Still trying to figure out who the dog is.

  10. carol says:

    Well–the dog is cute.

  11. Jackson says:

What happened to The Hunchers — did this guy eat them?

  12. Cee says:

I think they go to the groomers together!

    I love the man’s smile.

  13. Grayson says:

Oh, the tenderness in this picture…

  14. Sara says:

Very awkward but also kinda sweet don’t you think? Look at the love in his eyes!

  15. Melissa says:

Is it just me, or do they both have similar, resembling facial features???

  16. Dane says:

Fluffy always enjoyed including his cockapoo in his portraits.

  17. Janie says:

    Talk about look-a-likes!

  18. meri says:

I have a little white dog just like that one and my husband is just as in love as this man is with the dog. Nothing awkward about this photo. Love it!

  19. Mike says:

This guy totally looks like Weird Al in the “Fat” video.

  20. Renee says:

This is actually really sweet. Kind of sad though.

    • Boppie says:

Some of us don’t have humans to love and take portraits with. I admire him for going to the studio and getting the official ‘couples’ photo takes. Maybe his mom wanted one of him or his brothers and sisters’ families were taking up all the real estate on Mom’s mantelpiece.

  21. John says:

Aw. I just see love there. Love ain’t awkward.

  22. Tara says:

Awwwh, I think its sort of a cute photo. Granted the mullet is a little weird, and the dog looks a bit worried. But, cute none the less.

  23. Lucy says:

    Billy Ray Cyrus’ softer side.

  24. Matt K says:

It puts the lotion in the basket.

  25. Peyton says:

    Engagement photo.

  26. Angie says:

the white fur of that dog is almost blinding!

  27. Julius says:

This is awesome. That dog is bummed.

Found this new site today. I can relate…

    • Caleb says:

No offense but that site is a bit of a waste of time… at least so far.

      Back to the photo.
This picture creeps me out. And there’s nothing sweet about it… And I’m a dog person myself. Picture is still creepy.

  28. karn mulva says:

    Oh, Carl….

  29. Deb says:

I think it’s kinda sweet in it’s awkward way, & you’ve got to admit, that is a PRIMO mullet he’s sporting!
Thanks for the picture Carl, I do hope you’ve cut your hair since then though!

  30. RC says:

I don’t think this is awkward; I think it’s sweet. But that mullet is totally photoshopped.

    • diane says:

I don’t know how old you are, but once-upon-a-time (late 70s/early 80s) lots of people had the perm-mullet thing going on.

  31. Pertigal says:

I don’t think anyone can beat the comment by the photo poster. But, as someone who has taken a picture solo with my dog, I would say the hairdo is awkward, the fact that the dog looks uncomfortable is awkward, but taking a picture with the one who loves you most is not awkward at all. The dog will never care if he has a mullet!!!

  32. Julie says:

Adorable poodle – and other than the mullet, I don’t see anything awkward about this pic. Lots of LOVE there (she says, with her poodle beside her).

  33. Betsy says:

I actually think this one is really sweet. Mullet or not, you can see how much this man loves his little dog.

  34. cuteasasa says:

I like this. But I also love my doggies and understand wanting to have a picture to remember them by. When I see a guy like this, I figure he’s a nice person. And I think I’m right. : )

  35. Bleah! says:

LWDs are the new compound bow.

  36. Anne says:

I actually think it is kinda of sweet too. Sure, a photo of a guy with his little dog is awkward. And the mullett is all kinds of a awesome. But somehow together it looks sweet, I think mostly due to the expression on both the man’s the dog’s faces.

I’d love to hear the story behind it. Maybe it was a photo that his wife requested – you know, her two honeybuns together in one photo. She keeps it on her desk at work. Or maybe it was his mom’s dog and she wanted a photo of both “her boys?”

  37. Don says:

Looks to me like we have the answer to not only who let the dogs out, but also who decided to keep one (though I must admit I always pictured the song was referencing pit bulls or at least some really feisty beagles).

  38. MN says:

This is a very sweet picture. I can’t make fun of it, even in a lighthearted fashion. They obviously have a special bond. My husband and I have two dogs that we love very much, so taking even a fun jab at this photo is impossible for me.

    • Denise says:

Yea, me either. The photo’s awkward, but there’s too much genuine emotion here for me to make a snarky comment.

    • Beth says:

I thought the same thing! It’s such a tender and sweet picture. I can thoroughly understand the love someone has for a pet, especially one that people with spouses and children often times don’t get, or make fun of, but sometimes, that’s all the best friend someone needs, and often enough, it’s the only best friend that’s always there. I think it is a beautiful photo.

    • Julie says:

I’m so in love with that pic that I’m saving it to my pictures file.

Of course, I used to have a LWD just like that. My current dog is larger, and not white, but still a poodle…
This pic reminds me that I need to get a pic of us together soon – and not wait until she’s any older. At nine, she’s already considered geriatric! :o

  39. MissDemeanor says:

Obviously there was a switch at the hospital. This dog does NOT look like his owner LOL
That said, I’m so happy for the wee dog, he’s obviously adored and loved. I wish that all dogs had that devotion from their owner. Nice photo!

  40. Julie says:

Um, sorry to be old, but what does LWD stand for?

  41. Susie says:

Hmm, my double chin doesn’t make my face long enough. I know, I’ll tease my hair to add another two inches.

  42. Modine says:

Do you think it’s a real mullet, or a weave?

  43. jnewms says:

man thats not business in the front, party in the back. thats party the whole way around. the mans got the right idea.

  44. Vanessa says:

I think this is a sweet picture…the guy loves his dog, nothing wrong with that

  45. Keri says:

He’s sporting the Dee Snyder Twisted Sister haircut. I think little Charmin is scared of it.

  46. goober says:

wow, that hair could solve world peace.

  47. Bev says:

    Freeken, Pretty!!!!!!

  48. haller says:

White dogs are cute but they show all the dirt

  49. Goose says:

Am I the only one that thinks he looks like John Goodman during his “Rosanne” years?????
