I think I have to say my loudest 1980s moment was the dance recital with the costumes consisting of spandex sleeveless top & knee-length pants, bright pink and decorated with rainbow splotches up and down the sides and bright green sequin trim. The "Barbie rock star" look, I guess. Otherwise: I wore splatter-paint jeans, neon colors, green jelly shoes (bought a pair online in my current size) -and ridiculous holiday sweatshirts. But I was 8 and younger. Between ages 8-12, I was Early 90's Awful in floral print pants (or dresses) and things in pastel colors. I reflect on the fact that my grade school/middle school glasses were..."ok"...but the lenses looked too wide. I am keeping my cute narrow frames. Cabbage Patch Kid? Forget it. Cabbage Patch Pony!!
