I think the thing that makes this picture…so authentic…is the kids “tube socks”. I believe they are the official ” Oktoberfest ” sock of Germany !!!

I have to tell you, Swiss don’t wear Lederhosen…at least not this style. That would be Bavarian. Southern part of Germany.

That being said, whoever invented Lederhosen in the first place should get a prize for awkward and uncomfortable folk costumes. My brother had a nice stiff pair of Lederhosen when he was a wee lad, and I always thought it was a particularly cruel garment to put on a boy. Ouch.
