  1. Pedro says:

    The daughter is hot.

  2. Quincy says:

Check it out! Look closely and you’ll notice that there’s no water in their pool!! It’s visibly brand new, and the family is dry as a bone. They are showing off their brand new unfilled pool from the best viewable angle.

  3. netkook says:

Awkward or not, Pops did alright for himself!

  4. devtrev says:

So, they towel off before they go in the pool?

  5. Lisa Marie says:

    “Don”t forget a towel.”

  6. Emma says:

“Honey, do you think we could get one of the neighbors to take a family photo for us? I have the PERFECT idea… we’ll all be crouching in the weeds about 40 feet from the pool… we’ll have matching towels… it’ll be SOOO cute!!!!!”

  7. Bob says:

If it wern’t for the pool in the background I would have thought there kind of nutty!! Initially I thougt they were wearing robes.

  8. Too Much Stuff says:

My pool is bigger than that, but I wouldn’t want it in the background as a prop. People would think I was showing off because they don’t have one.

  9. Miss Perky 'Tude says:

Did we also mention that we’re nudists?

  10. MONSTER says:

This was the family I wanted to be from- all perfect and the perfect pool-

  11. Minnesota Nice says:

Maybe a jealous neighbor stole their swimsuits.

  12. Erin says:

    I think they’re kneeling in poison ivy…

  13. stagolee says:

Honestly, the people in this picture are so well camouflaged that it took me about 10 minutes before I could “see” them.

Those striped towels are the Dickens.

  14. Gordinho says:

That’s got to be Roy Walker (host of UK gameshow “Catchphrase”)

  15. Ginger says:

Perfect caption! That’s the first thing I thought when I saw this photo.

  16. John says:

I dont think Jr. is gonna give the towel back just yet. lol

  17. Mary says:

Tired of the same old Christmas photos…well we are sending pictures in July…so there, no gift money enclosed, just a hello!

  18. Tim says:

    …group Snuggie!

  19. MCR says:

We’ve also got poison ivy. Did we mention that we have poison ivy?

  20. Beanie says:

“Aw you guys look so cute, why dont I take a pic of you guys near the pool?”
“No no no- in the garden. Much classier”

  21. cannuck says:

I think that is poison ivy they are kneeling on.

  22. TheBladeRoden says:

The towels suggest a recent dip in the pool, but their well dried and groomed hair betrays them.

  23. Anne says:

Oh, how I wish a neighbor had popped up over the fence in the background just as the shutter clicked!

  24. Tom says:

Oh, okay, I thought they were all wearing a Snuggie!

  25. Lee says:

Some people just have it all

  26. Johnny says:

Meh. They’re sitting in pachysandra, they’ve all got nice smiles. The matching towels is the only vaguely awkward thing about this.

    • Angie NC says:

ADMIT it — you only posted this comment so you could use the word “pachysandra!”

      • Ben says:

You are right – the towels being “only vaguely awkward” gave him away :-)

        • Mary says:

Well, the matching towels and that fact that they climbed into the ahem pachysandra to pose in their towels. It’s not like someone just snapped them getting out of the pool. It’s the thought and effort that has gone into this picture that makes it awkward and mockworthy.

          • Bill Dub says:

That’s what thought too…”What the hell are they doing in the pachysandra when they could be standing on their pool deck?” “OK Kids – out of the pool – grab your towels and lets roll around in the bushes – charlie – grab the camera!” maybe it ISN’T their pool and that is as close as they could get…

          • Somebody says:

Yeah maybe its the neighbor’s pool.

  27. ThatBoy says:

Let me flaunt my pool people, are the worst kind of people. “We don’t keep up with the Jones’, we beat them to the ground”
