To be honest, most fraternities require community work, campus leadership, good grades and/or other things to enter into membership. Pike is not special in that he had to be ‘accepted’ into the fraternity.

Being accepted in a fraternity was the only exemption allowed for nonparticipation in the family band and going sockless!

I am a Pike Wife and I think that is Halarious but you actually have to be accepted to be in the pike. I know my husband had to do community work and have to participate and a lot of extra things in college to just to stay in the Pike’s Frat.
