Hey! These photos are mine! I mean, they were, if you’re wondering about the backstory of this one it is the following:
Two years ago (2008) I got a camera for my sister’s birthday from an online retailer from Brazil (Lojas Americanas). When the product arrived, it came with a memorable set of pictures from that kid’s birthday party in its memory. Also some equally creepy pictures of a pair of twin blond boys and an older shirtless boy. It’s funny it turned out on this site, I first leaked it on 55chan.
I hate to say it, but I SERIOUSLY think I know this family…O.O And if it IS the family I think it is, because both the mother and father look incredibly familiar to me, then no…its not a happy back story…
I’m thinking. less than thrilled look on their faces, Dad’s unbuttoned shirt: No Air Conditioning on a really hot day with their freshly delivered (melting) Ice Cream Cake. What do I win?
The unhappy faces of mother and child make me scared that Dad is the cause. He doesn’t look too stable…. I do think because of the colors on the cake and lack of candles that it could be a KING Cake, served in NOLA and other Southern cities on Ash Wednesday. There’s a hidden plastic baby doll placed into the already baked cake. Whoever finds this figure gets to host the party the following year. Something tells me that this family wasn’t thrilled about doing it this year.

I sincerely hope that the little girl is now grown up and mentally healthy enough to have sent in this photo herself, as a way to laugh at all she’s been through.
What is in the blue bowl? Are those beets? What about the white bowl? Is that shrimp? Yummy, nothing says Happy Birthday like beets, shrimp, and cake!!!

Sorry, that cake looks *nothing* like a king cake (which is more often eaten in the run-up to Mardi Gras than on Ash Wednesday).
But I could believe that this awkwardness occurred in Louisiana, sad to say!
