What makes this especially awkward is that this family was there for a vasectomy.

I thought they were there for Dad’s colonoscopy
ummmm, they are really smurfs with masks on~
For some reason this doesn´t look clean
yeah, um not really a fan of the hospital ones the last couple of days.
this really made the end of my day here in Europe ! time to post a link with this winner !
Why does the youngest gal there have the biggest smile and giving a double thumbs up??? The benefits of a Vasectomy. Guess like a new car you got to take it for a test ride.
I’m guessing it’s her husband/boyfriend who was getting the vasectomy?
Maybe it’s a sarcastic “yeah this is pretty silly that we’re all here for a vasectomy”!!
Or they’re not really there for a vasectomy and that’s what AFP put as a caption to be funny.
Winner of the Best Caption Award!
Whose vasectomy, the guy second from the left????
This family is pumped for the bris
I think what disturbs me most is that they’re all wearing surgical gloves. Like…what…they’re going to ASSIST?
How many family members really want to see this guy’s “junk”?
I was thinking it was the guy on the right since he looks petrified!
the old guy looks like he’s holding an invisible watermelon.
hahahah…I was thinking this was a family shot from Vegas. Not only did they have front row seats for Gallagher but they also had a meet and greet with the Blue Man group.
hahahaha I totally LOL’d about the invisible watermelon!
I laughed heartily out loud after checking that, myself. Like, what IS he doing with his hands??
He’s ready to catch the baby!
They made us wear these gowns while visiting our cousin. No, it wasn’t a vasectomy. We thought we looked like a box of Peeps. What made it awkward for me was when I turned around and realized my hand wasn’t on my wife’s knee, but on the nurse’s!
Oh. Oops! Yeah, sure.
I love that the nurse is giving a big double “thumbs up” in spite of the hand on her knee!
Who has two thumbs and LOVES the bird flu? THIS girl!!!!!!
HAH! Clever way to cop a feel, Tim! AND post it online for the world – or at least some of us – to see!
Uh, btw, is the gentleman on the far left a relative? And is he single, by any chance? Ahem…
vasectomy’s over.Time for the prostate exams now.The family that gets probed together, stays together.
Uhhh, I doubt it’s for a vasectomy… we do those in our outpatient clinic… it doesn’t require a hospital visit and/or family members present.
WOW! I drove myself to the doctor for mine back in 1988, then drove myself home.
Na, their hyped because someone is having a baby, is my guess.
If only he’d had this done earlier, at least half of the people in the picture wouldn’t be in the picture…
The gowns are actually isolation garb. Chances are, one of their family members was in the hospital for MRSA or another type of contact-transmitted infection. Vasectomies not included in this visit.
It’s all you can eat ribs night at the Elks Club and these folks come ready!
Now that’s funny!
Good explanation!
I think the most awkward part of this picture is the number of people who bought into the caption and ACTUALLY thought it was a vasectomy picture.
I’m with you on that one. Proof that if something is in print, people believe it.
amen! aren’t the captions supposed to be humorous?!?
Read up above, they were visiting a cousin in the hospital. He had an infection or was very immuno-compromised.
I glanced at the bags in the bottom left corner and thought they were sheep for a second. Then I looked at the rest of the picture and got really confused. The sheep seemed usual and customary. The rest of them? Not so much.
that’s hilarious!
If you are going to get your prostate checked, you may was well get a few extra opinions.
I don’t know if this my fav comment or “the snap of a rubber glove” comment!! lol
Nothing quite says love like the snap of a rubber glove…
Wow nurses have such an easy job. Sit around joking with families and having your picture taken. Sign me up!
ha! i doubt my sister would let me post it… but 3 years ago she had a brain hemorrhage, and we had a nurse take a picture of me, my parents, and my sister. my sister was on a ventilator and unconscious, and me and my parents were in gloves, gowns, and masks. and we were actually smiling.
that was our christmas picture that year…
it just looks so weird.
You *must* post it. That would be the hands-down winner of all awkward photos.
Tim looks familiar and for the life of me, I can’t place where I might know him from.
Looks like grandpa is ready to get back to cutting the heads off the chicken.
Most families just eat turkey at Thanksgiving. They build one.
