I agree, I don’t see anything awkward about this photo. Is it awkward because they are wearing cowboy hats? cuz that’s pretty common in the South.

That’s what I was wondering..
I checked this site earlier, and there was a different picture up in this one’s place…..a group photo of very Western-y dressed folks, and a lady holding a small dog….I dunno what happened, but later when I checked, this photo was in it’s place……..but this explains the mixed comments. Some appear to be of the original photo, and the latter comments being of this current photo.
I’m with you Megan. I might be extemely non-observant but what dog? Is that the awkward part?

What’s awkward is the kid’s foot. Poor kid has nowhere to rest it, so he just has to precariously balance it against the stump! Which also explains his hands.
