i love the lighting.. the emotion/commitment, the simplicity, the abstract component.. even the cropping of the image.

nice art. I wonder what else this photographer can convey in life. This is exactly how I would want to show aging love. it does not matter what the ppl look like.. u still get the bond.
Probably not the best portrait shot.. but if ur going a bit creative, u nailed it.
I hate pictures.. when you notice an aging couple with faked smiles.. it’s just not as attractive as this is… Its timeless.
There are a few things I would change in this shot.. but I don’t think the person is too much of a pro. the idea is intriguing tho.
I think they are holding a Magic -8 Ball and asking it a question…

I like this photo a lot. It’s a nice background, and for the most part the sillouette is brilliant. And if you look at on the side I can see a fish eating a smaller fish!
Yes, art has many facets. Each person will take away something different from it. I take away that these people have more fingers than they should.

It’s a nice photo. It may be off center as shown here, but it’s not awkward at all.
Harry, AFP doesn’t go out looking for photos. People send them in. Whoever sent this in, possibly the couple themselves, thought it was awkward.
If you think AFP is putting up photos that aren’t awkward, that would actually mean that they are not picky enough.
that’s the beauty and interest of it. if it was centered, it would lose some of it’s interest.
i personally dislike the lighting on his glasses, but since the pic is a winner, I can surely overlook that. I just am a bit weird when it comes to glasses and lighting… partly because i hate reflections on mine.

Yeah that is a lot of fingers but I am finding my head tilting more and more to the right as it is TRULY awkward to be slightly crooked and off center.
