If they had a nickel for every time they were late to band practice, dance recital, getting the photos developed, soccer practice, and remembering the baby… they would have a nickel.
Now I know everyone’s prolly said this already but I just wanted to say it again anyways –> I love this pic….its not in the least bit awkward, instead it comes across as super cute! Loving it
Those are norman rockwell plates on the wall. As someone earlier said, it’s not awkward but I’m glad it’s here. It’s a great portrait and i’m not sure what other way there is to get it out there on the net.
I don’t understand why it’s sad. Why tie such a strong emotional to the process of making a simple observation? Why would the observer select words of dissidence rather than words that help share perspective and knowledge? Oop – gotta go – my coffee’s kickin’ in.
Aha! Those aren’t photos Dad is holding, they’re Dental x-rays. Great way to show his career as a Dentist without being pompous or bragging…I love this!
I think this is adorable. Yes, they’re talking about the activities they’re all into, but in a funny way, not a self-important one, and everyone actually looks pretty natural. Plus the old photo showing how together they were before the last baby is genuinely self-deprecating. Funny and cute, not even slightly awkward.
It looks like a laxative ad to me. “Today’s world is so busy rushing the kids to practice and yourself off to work, it’s tough to get enough fiber in your diet….”

they’re so busy they don’t have time to pose! wow that’s busy. yeah, busy…
I actually think this is a nice photo.
Omigod!! We forgot KEVIN!!!!! (Home Alone reference, y’all) ^_^
This is absolutely fantastic!!!
Surely this is a promo shot for a 90′s sitcom that never got picked up.
SWEET! I wish my family had one like this!
I don’t know…It’s sort of cute, but it’s also further proof that attempts at “action” shots rarely work.

i think it’s quite a creative family picture! kudos to them!
I love the mom looking at her watch because they’re running late. She is my favorite. DBs are the greatest, the world would be dull w/o them.
The photo within the photo is so normal…
Norman Rockwell gone 80′s!!
Hmm Did anyone say Norman Rockwell? Oh yes… someone did.
What I noticed were all the randomly hung “decorations” on the wall…
Everyone else has a hobby, mom has a full-time gig as a taxi driver. Nicer.

Thanks Karla–that’s what I was coming here to post, LOL
Did anyone mention Norman Rockwell yet? Or band camp?
I love this!!
I like this photo! Yes, it is rather awkward, but not in an entirely bad way. There’s something oddly cute and unique about it.
This is kind of cool! It tells a story about their life together as a family and not in an awkward way, but I’m still glad it’s here!
this is just a sweet photo, agreed on the not awkward.
It would have been awkward if say, the Easter Bunny had been popping out of a corner or something. I think I might have even liked that photo better.
I like this one, too. I also thought of Norman Rockwell.
I was going to say the exact same thing.
I like this one! It’s a pretty cute idea!

Before the baby AND soccer junior. Ah, the good old days when there were only two kids and not three. Ooops, I mean four. Don’t forget the baby!
Yeah, I’d say it is Norman Rockwell, too.
Wow, they all did a great job holding those positions to get this. The toddler looks like he’s about to be abducted by aliens. Cool shot.
That was my thought too. Must have been a tough shot to pull off.
That’s sad that nobody here knows the works of Norman Rockwell. The guy became famous for painting staged scenes like this.
I know Norman Rockwell! My mom collected plates and mugs and whatnot with his work on it. This is very Norman Rockwell.
Our calendar is Norman Rockwell. I love it.
Yes, you’re the only person on the internet who knows who the most famous illustrator of all time is. We know Norman Rockwell and this ain’t it.
If there was a “Like” button on here i would deff push it. LOL!! im still laughing as i type
“I knew Norman Rockwell. Norman Rockwell was a friend of mine. And you’re no Norman Rockwell!”
Yes, I thought of Norman Rockwell when I saw this too.
It looks like a laxative ad to me. “Today’s world is so busy rushing the kids to practice and yourself off to work, it’s tough to get enough fiber in your diet….”
Wonder how many people on here get that reference? LOL. Good one!
I got it – thanks to all the hours of “Saturday Night Live” reruns I’ve watched over the last 14 years!
Well I had to google him, and what do you know? I have two of his calendars hanging around in my house.
