It is not the little girl!!! The boy is shooting the finger! lolololol

  2. Kate says:

The little girl could so be me at that age.. or my daughter now.

  3. noodengr says:

I personally know the parents in this photo. and they are very nice folks.
But I will admit none look too happy to be in this pic.

  4. Randall says:

From the look on the little girl’s face, I fully expect the photographer’s head to have exploded moments after this picture was taken.

  5. Brandy says:

What is super scary about this photo? Let me tell you. I almost fell out of my chair when I saw that cute lil blonde girl because she looks EXACTLY like my daughter, with the same expression she gets when I leave her with a baby sitter…totally, utterly, dejected. This photo looks to have been taken in the 80’s but my daughter is only 2 (in 2010). Do you believe in reincarnation? Like she was misreble because she was born to the wrong mommy. Sad, and twisted all at the same time. I’m going to hug my baby now.

  6. Sam says:

What’s ironic about the children of the corn comments is they are really huge farmers lol! I love seeing people I know on here it makes it even funnier!

  7. Warren G. says:

That little girl reminds me of one of thoes creepy porcelin dolls

  8. Ash says:

Personally, I think that the little girl has an adorable face. Who doesn’t love a pouty 2 yr old? 🙂

  9. nhsnowgirl says:

This was taken right before she disappeared into the TV!! Carolann…Carolann?

  13. RugbySkin says:

2 Aunts, 1 Brother and the family cat are all in the Cornfield (Not pictured)

  14. melissy78 says:

I think it’s so awkward because the poor little girl in the middle looks SO confused and uncomfortable. Like, “Really? This is my family??” AND she’s almost crossing her legs a little, like she’s gotta pee. Which just makes it funnier 🙂

  15. Gwindalyn says:

It’s not really awkward. It’s actually kinda cute.

  16. David says:

    “I see dead people”

  17. LollyBlue says:

Great Family Pic…they look like really fun people. 🙂

  18. Katie says:

She’s the only one without a weird split in her bangs. Kudos, little girl, for being tough enough to grow hair all the way across your forehead.

  20. meansheep says:

If baby Carrie isn’t happy, then NOBODY’S happy… or left alive.

  21. Stephanie says:

She just looks sad to me…

  22. carol says:

I guess having your picture taken can be serious business.

  23. Sassy says:

Give me the boy and I’ll let you live!

  25. Teresa says:

Another example of a picture that would be just mildly amusing alone but the caption gave it a whole story in just a few words. Love you guys – you’re brilliant.

  26. leonie says:

Is that a pin hole I can see at the top centre?? So… this pic has been pinned up somewhere for years…….Now, THAT”S awkward!

  27. Rach says:

notice the thumb tack hole in the pic? Someone tacked this gem of a family up

  28. Margo says:

I really hope this was not the best this photographer could do for this family. Only 2 (sort of) smiles in a family of 5? Really?

    • Rick D says:

If this was in black & white, it’d look like the pictures from the early days of photography, when the subjects had to stand still for a very long time while the photographer did things under his black hood. The people generally ended up looking this stiff, as what might have been pleasant expressions gradually faded leaving them looking much like the youngest girl. See, e.g., group photos of Civil War generals and other photos of that vintage.

  29. Leslie says:

I don’t get it, either… Looks like an unhappy family to me, but awkward?

  30. Lar says:

The girl on the left is THE ONLY one who is smiling.
Perhaps she is the Damion of the family?

  31. nicswife says:

they are all standing…. and rebelious looking.

  32. Whoa says:

Her Sioux name would be Stands With A Red Ribbon.

  33. JayJay35 says:

This isn’t a particularly good photo but not so sure what is awkward about it.Because the little one is standing on a stool? If you make another book, I would leave this one out.

  34. Cori says:

NOW on NBC, Season Premiere of …”THE MISERABLES” The weekly story of a family, that is SO miserable, it makes YOU feel fortunate!

  35. Carol says:

Nobody looks happy in that pic.

  36. Bunnyluv says:

Um…and this rebel would be where, exactly?

  37. Annie says:

The family didn’t want the photo taken, but they had to do everything the blonde demon girl told them to….. or else……

  38. happyhero says:

    She’s definitely daddy’s girl.

  39. Michael Neufeld says:

    Children of the Corn???

  40. LuLu says:

I’m not gonna smile and you can’t make me!

  41. Valarie says:

    I don’t get it… a little girl is frowning…?

  42. Amy T says:

That little blonde girl just set me on fire …

  43. durhay says:

    “I’m Talking Tina!”
