And THIS is for all the FOXES you’ve chased…and THIS is for all my SQUIRREL friends…and THIS… you get the picture.

  2. elp6n says:

Folks – sorry to be the bubble burster, but this is NOT a real beagle. It’s a fake. The racoon is raping a stuffed beagle.

  3. JerseyPam says:

Somewhere in the black hills of Dakota there lived a young boy named Rocky Raccoon
One day his woman ran off with another guy, hit young Rocky in the eye
Rocky didn’t like that, said I’m gonna get that boy
So one day he walked into town and booked himself a room at the local saloon…

  4. Daisy says:

It just goes to show men will go after anything

  5. chelsee says:

Poor Buster permenantly lost his membership in the coon hunting club after this photo was posted.

  6. CTBRK says:

Oh my goodness….I hope this beagle’s parents get him/her some intensive therapy!!

  7. bob says:

Once again, Bimbo the beagle was not able to see where the Ricky raccoon was hiding, but he smelled real close.

  8. natasha says:

I wonder why there are fold marks?? Did someone walk around with this in their wallet for years? Was it their idea for boosting a dull party or a boring night at the pub “Hey check out this funny as pic I took of my pets”?! Or at work……….. I see your cute pictures of your kids, or latest family holiday snaps and raise them with THIS!!

  9. Jill says:

Wait, is there a collar on the raccoon? This may be a “pet” raccoon. Eh, still not cool.

  10. James says:

So *that’s* how coon hounds are made!

  11. Keri says:

If you can’t be with the one you love, love the one you’re with.

  12. Blaze says:

    …Racagle

  13. Candysland56 says:

What cute designer name will they give these pups?

  14. Mellowknee says:

My 15 year old kitty was killed about 6 months ago by a raccoon, so this scares the crap out of me. I’m not trying to be a killjoy, but there is no way I would have stopped and taken a picture of itl I know what those coons are capable of and I would have been in action to make sure my doggie remained safe.

    • jaclyn says:

this is a dog not a cat. I’m not sure you understand the difference…. thanks for your comment laughter/fun sucker. And who is to say this isn’t a tame one, there are such things. My neighbor rescued one and released it, to this day it still knocks on their Windows and holds out paws for food.
Sorry about your cat, but if you wanted sympathy for your cat you could just go to a pet mourning board instead of trying this tactic.

      • Stancomb says:

Gosh, Jaclyn, can you be any more heartless and bitter? This person is giving some good advice after a horrific event, and you find the need to trash her. nice.

        • natasha says:

I agree with Stancomb, It is awful to lose a pet full stop and Mellowknee is welcome to place their opinion. In the case of a wild coon, the point they raise is a valid one. Maybe it is just me but the one in the pic appears to be wearing a collar? If you didnt agree with their comment you could have just kept on reading the other comments, but to get negative to someone who has lost a pet that has been a part of their life for 15 years is pretty low. There is enough negativity out there in the world already, why ruin a person who you dont knows day by adding or increasing it? I didnt find their comment a laughter/fun sucker by I sure did feel like yours was one. Thanks for that.
To Mellowknees Im so sorry that that happained to your cat, I wish it hadnt………. Dont worry about Jaclyns comment, not everyone is so harsh…………

        • Mellowknee says:

Wow Jaclyn, aren’t you hateful. Of course I know the difference between a dog and a cat. For example, my english bulldog got into a fight with a raccoon when I was a child. The bulldog had the size advantage as well as the incredible jaw strength and came out victorious, unlike my cat. So that’s 2 experiences in my life where a raccoon attacked a family pet. It sure does sound like I know the difference between a dog and a cat. The beagle in this picture does NOT have size and strength on his side, hence the cautionary tale. I too know someone who started feeding a raccoon, but in her case the coon turned on her and bit her. No big surprise that it came back later and there is now one less raccoon in their neighborhood. I’m surprised you thought I was seeking sympathy. I’m well past the mourning stage, like you I come to this site for a good laugh. If a few words of caution becomes a “laughter/fun sucker” for you then your margin for laughter and fun must not be set very high to begin with.

      • M says:

Jaclyn, you’ve just made the most heartless and bitter comment ever on this site! I guess you’ve just missed a great opportunity to be quiet or to just show someone some sympathy.

        • Okie Dokie says:

I agree with mellowknee. This would freak me out. RACCOONS ARE WILD ANIMALS AND CAN BE DANGEROUS!! ESPECIALLY TO YOUR PETS!! My parents had several cats killed by raccoons a few years ago. And while some people have raccoons as pets, no matter how sweet an nice you think you have made them THEY ARE STILL WILD ANIMALS!!! And they can easily revert to their primal instincts to hunt and kill. I don’t think should matter whether it was a cat or a dog in the picture.

    • JerseyPam says:

I replied to your comment also, and luckily the AFP moderator didn’t post it. In Jaclyn’s defense, this is a comedy website and your comment made me very sad. I also found it a little judgmental to assume someone would take a photo of their dog being mauled by a wild raccoon.

Thank you, AFP mod, for the editing. I find it crucial when I’ve had a few rum and cokes and think I’m all hilarious when I’m not. Can we all please move on?

  15. Lee says:

Furry? Check. Four legged? Check. Let’s go for it!

  16. Melvis says:

I see the fold marks and wonder “why isn’t this in a frame?”.

  17. blucat says:

    That is a GREAT caption!

  18. KJL says:

That is one of the more unusual ways to get rabies.

  19. Richard says:

okay, so this happened, but, really, but, would your first reaction to this be: Let me get my camera!!! ????? Gotta preserve this Kodak memory

  20. ScoutC says:

Poor little beagle! I hope she was okay after this.

  21. Jon says:

Am I the only one that’s NOT perverting this cute little hug between members of the animal kingdom? Okay, I’m seeing it now…. :)

  22. Freckles says:

    Who are we to judge?

  23. iamotaku says:

So that’s where coon dogs come from.

  24. JerseyPam says:

    Copper: “Hey, you’re not Tod!”
