This is what happens when you step on a rusty nail. Lock Jaw!
You all had good ideas. I am the beautiful baby “boy” but not I’m a girl. And the truth is, it wasn’t our brother at all. No pee or poop. Just me pulling that long flowing hair. That’s what she gets.

He’s pinching her or doing something mean and hurtful! He’s got that serene look of totally getting away with it and she’s not just having a hissy fit about having to have her picture made.

I’m just thrilled that of all the pictures that probably came out of that photo shoot, Mom and Dad kept this one!
She’s about to sneeze people. geez, no whiz, no hair pulling , no thumb. Just a sneeze.
having raised two children through yearly photo shoots I can tell you that this exhausted, pained but no means in pain look comes from this final straw in patiences after the photographer says, “Okay, smile, that’s it” “Now just once more”.

It looks like a whole lot of exasperation, combined with something else. But what? That sort of reaction must be due to something more than baby pee. I bet it’s a big stinky, gooey, number twoie. I bet that it is smelling up the place and has just seeped out onto and through the screamer’s nice new outfit. The outfit she was planning to wear that night to a friend’s party. Now all she wants to do is get the heck outa there, burn the clothes and shower for the next year.
The brother looks like he’s thinking, “Boy that smells. I’m glad I’m not holding him.”
Ah the joys of parenthood.
The crazed look in the boy’s eyes worries me. The girl looks like she’s being stabbed.
That looks more like a “stop copying me” yell.
I feel your pain…I have two brothers also.
My guess that the little guy on her lap just took a whiz.
Baby looks to be wondering “WHAT kinda family have I been born into!”
Yes! He looks like he’s thinking “Why me, Lord?”

When ya gotta yawn, you’ve gotta yawn.
That is no yawn-I usually don’t look like I’m in pain when I yawn. She is definitely hurting from something her brother did or is doing to her while the picture is being taken.
Someone just got goosed!
She heard, “chin down” one too many times and the pinch from her conniving brother didn’t help matters either.

The look on the brother’s face tells me he’s responsible for the screaming. Come to think of it, the baby doesn’t look too innocent, either.
haha! I concur. The baby probably peed on her moments before the brother stealthily tortured her. Why she is sooo horrified, a double whammy sneak attack!!
Suddenly, Susie felt a moist warmth spreading across her lap and a stabbing pain in her side. Everything went blurry, and then….

She must do this all the time. The other two don’t even look startled. (That is a beautiful baby, BTW.)

You were a very cute baby and I do think you look surprised… but in a calm, third-child-who’s-seen-everything kind of way. Like, “Opah, there’s one of those screams in my ear again… sister? Brother? Sister. My sister…”
I’m guessing your brother looks calm because he was causing it.
I love the expressions on the other siblings’ faces, as if everything is perfectly normal.

What on Earth is he doing to her!? He must be pinching or pulling hair. We definitely need a ” behind the awkwardness” story on this one.
I’m guessing there is some hair pulling going on here!
