Danny – that was great!! Just wanted you to know that someone DID get it!!
Please pack mine really carefully so it doesn’t break during shipping and I have to go through the whole return process. And when I say packed carefully, I mean with a sturdy styrofoam top and bottom, inset carved to fit the platter. Please wrap it in plastic first so I don’t have to spend a half a day picking little styrofoam pieces off the platter before I use it. Whatever you do don’t use those packing peanuts that crumble and settle after a few days and leave you with a dangerously loose box.
Shipping label: If you use one of those computer generated labels please be sure the return address font is large enough to read and it does in fact say AFP. If it has some other company listed the package could be stacked with incoming Christmas presents and not opened in time, or it could also appear to be one of those unsolicited book club shipments in which case I would refuse the package and then we’d have a big hassle.
Shipping company: I certainly hope I don’t need remind you all not to use that shipper with the brown trucks again since they keep leaving packages in front of the garage and not taking them all the way to the front porch. The one with the white and green trucks is fine as long as you don’t charge me extra, and email the tracking number the day it is shipped.
I think we can all agree that AFP is established enough now to know to mark the box FRAGILE. If you think you can accomplish all of this without over-billing me, then please send me one right away and include a pre-printed return label in case I don’t like it.
