Create Your Own Awkward Holiday Portrait With Sprint!
November 29th, 2010
Dear AFP Family,
It’s the most awkward time of the year. That’s right– the holidays are upon us and it’s time to throw on those matching holiday sweaters, watch our relatives drink too much egg nog, and participate in family sing-alongs. To celebrate the season, Sprint & AFP proudly invite you to create your own Awkward Holiday Portrait! It’s easy. To design a classic pic of yourself or your family, simply click here.

So, so wrong.
Is that Justin Bieber?
I think it was quite clever of mom to assist the viewer in distinguishing the boys from the girls! LOL!
Unfortunately the flash ad for this, is so annoying there’s no way I’m sending any money their way. That thing is killing my browser!
I like how they color-coded them by gender just in case one of the relatives who got the card was unsure in any way.
You know those things that you get in a chain email where you concentrate on one circle and all the others circles appear to rotate?? That happened to me when looking at this picture!
The sweaters aren’t the only things that are matchy-matchy: notice on the left side, how at least three people are wearing beige pants, and the couple on the right are in jeans, while grandma and granddaughter are in black pants and grandad and the youngest boy are in khaki green pants? Wonder if they were arranged in the picture according to this…
Hi – I went to the Sprint link provided to create my own ‘awkward holiday photo.’ Unfortunately, after finishing it, and scrolling down to click the “I agree” button … there was no “I agree” button so it couldn’t be saved. Would you kindly check and see if this can be fixed?
hey maryis, we will pass that on to them for sure. sorry about that.
Same thing happened to me!! I did do one but there was no agreement on that one, then I tried to do another and there is no I AGREE button.
Would love to try some more if they fix it!
It took me forever to figure out how to “agree” – if you click on the little tab with the two yellow arrows, hold it down, and drag it all the way to the bottom, it will let you click on the agree button. What they should do is let you use more than one person’s picture (I did the twin picture thinking I could use my face for one and my husband’s for the other but it used my face for both).
I know exactly whose idea this was. The lady standing in the middle has the proud look of a woman who managed to get her entire family into matching sweaters.
“It’s Xmas! Just put on the goddamn sweater!”
I have the same sweater and LOVE it! It’s warm and cozy. However, I am the only one in my family who has it, so there is no chance of sensory overload.
oops sorry, sweater, not sweather. but then again, that might be a sweather.
Looking at this photo gave me a small seizure.
As a knitter, i think this is a great idea!!!
Sounds like we can all look forward to seeing your family soon on this very site.
I wonder how many stores they had to run to, to get so many of the same sweater.
Clearly this is their family tartan/plaid. Grandma worked all year long knitting these!
I figured Marney knit them following the family’s regulation pattern….
Soooo funny! Almost spit out my juice on that one.
Marnee would never have approved of this for the final picture … just looked at that forced smile on the youngest girl! Unacceptable and not regulation either.
It’s nice to be able to distinguish the boys from the girls.
love your comment
I feel slightly blinded.
I do too! Too busy for my eyes. This is a good example of how what seems like a fun idea turns really bad when put into practice!!
