The Great Bambini 3
December 7th, 2010
After winning the egg toss, these two brothers got a little cocky.

Check out The Great Bambini and The Great Bambini 2 to find out which high-flying bambini is the most daring.

Notice how there are no Mommy’s in this photo. This is something men enjoy doing and the babies love it…but it scares the holy hell out of Mom!
That “baby” looks like a doll to me.
I had to make sure this wasn’t a picture of me and my dad throwing my baby sister. Looks like the same height and distance. It was a blaaaast. She loved it, we loved it . . . never dropped her once.
To all those anal, over-protective, hand sanitizer, keeps their kids on a leash mothers out there RELAX. Instead of being so “horrified” at this picture, turn your attention to your own kids who are in need of some more unnecessary coddling. It’s not like they’re throwing a newborn around.
What’s so wrong with this? Are most of these comments made by the kinds of moms with anti-bacterial hand wash slung constantly around their wrists?
My husband did this to my daughter. She survived. I did freak at first, but goodness, we all gotta live sometime.
And think of this, oh ye who are so over protective….do you put your kid in a car? Accidents can happen then to!! I bet you even talk on your cell phone, or even text! Those car seats, if you look up the actual use of them, do not adequately protect a child in an accident over thirty five miles per hour. Do you speed in your car, even just a little? Child abuse!!!
Goodness gracious, you could breathe wrong one day and die. Live a little, people.
Darwinism at it’s finest!
Grammar at it’s worst.
As a photographer i can tell you that the angles are playing games on your eyes. The distance looks MUCH further than it really is and the person taking the photo is slightly shorter making the upward angle look more steep.
I’m sure this is not an olympic game or a hobby of this family. And honestly, who has NEVER tossed their child in the air and caught them? Babies and kids LOVE to be tossed.
Hey! Guess what?! The picture was snapped, the dude caught the kid (or else it would have been on the news) It’s over and done with. If you would like to visit them and lecture them on the extreme hobby of child-throwing, go right ahead. Be my guest. But nothing on this perticular page will stop them. If they want to continue doing this, let them. If something bad happens, it won’t be your fault. Just be smart and not do that to your kids!
-a message to all worrywarts.
Ouch. I burnt you all
well maybe his hoodie will serve as a parachute…
It may be fun and all, but there are other ways to have fun…
I mean..imagine if the wind kicked up and dust flew in one of their eyes. Silly little things like that can happen and bam…hit a little kid’s head the wrong way and his life may be changed forever. Is it worth that kind of risk? No. Buy a $5 ball to kick around instead of risking a child’s life.
if you’re old enough to have babies, you’re old enough to throw ‘em
who do you think is taking the picture?
that was meant for jacqueline’s comment
bet its a crazy uncle!
Notice there are no moms in this picture.
Mom is in charge of snapping Polaroid shots.
ok, so as a mother, i would totally FREAK OUT if my husband was chucking my baby at some other guy like this. i can literally see myself tearing out of the house, screaming “what are you doing??!! put down my baby!!!!!!!”
but since i am not the mother to this child, it’s HILARIOUS
NICE!!!!
Mir, I have just hit the “like” button!
I grew up with uncles who did this kinda stuff all the time. Today it’s considered dangerous, back then it was just plain ol’ fun!!
I don’t think this is clever or funny or entertaining at all. I’m far from an over protective mother, but I’m also not careless.
It only takes one mistake.
then dont make a mistake. that simple!
Agreed! My son fell on a playground 10 years ago and is still having issues because of it. I had to quit work to care for him… not funny…not entertaining. Head injuries are not something to be laughing at. Yes, when we were young, we had uncles that stupid but we should know better today.
That’s just completely irresponsible – not wearing protective helmets when babies are hurtling towards you is just asking for something bad to happen
This comment made me laugh quite heartily
That is the funniest thing I have heard all day.
Thats halarious!
This is HALERIOUS!!! i remember when i was a little kid getting tossed around. i loved it!!! ps, they are on grass. not cement you hippie.
I like the kid with the stick wand pretending he’s harry potter
Oh, that comment made my day. I didn’t even notice. Thanks!
I didn’t notice that either! But maybe he is the one who is levatating (sp?) the child, and they are just trying to catch it!
Are some of you not reading? Babies have DIED because of stupid horseplay like this. DIED. That word alone should be enough to make you stop and think.
My daughter was 12 months when she fell from a height of 4 feet and I was worried sick. She banged her head up pretty bad and could have sustained serious injury to her brain. I was standing in front of her when she fell from the bench, but I was bent over doing something, distracted, and did not catch her in time. Things like this happen all the time.
This is not learning to bike, or climbing a tree. This is not a toddler, it is a BABY. Maybe not a newborn, but still not a toddler. Hell, even a toddler could get hurt if he fell from this distance.
I’m amazed at some of the comments. Then again, maybe those people were dropped on the head as babies.
Maybe you should stop complaining. Thanks.
Overprotective Mother Alert!
WOW!! I was reading this comment waiting to hear the awful thing that happened to ur baby and the end result was that it fell off a bench??? My kid walks into walls all damn day. Ur taking this a TAD too seriously…
Ps 12months = 1… After 12 u get to stop saying how many months old they are, if not u’ll end up with a 48month old with a pacifier
Saying 12 months is still legit. It’s after that that it becomes stupid. (Actually, you could probably get to 18 without looking totally stupid.)
i know someone whose kid died from walking. granted, it was walking out into traffic, but COME ON, LIVE A LITTLE. if they want to throw their kid in the air, let them.
just to play the other side here…….what were you doing letting your kid play next to a 4 foot drop? boom, you lose. that’s not any better than playing hot potato with your kid. atleast the kid appears to enjoy being tossed in the air.
I think that you are just jealous because clearly they have a better reaction time than you and are way better parents because they can catch their kids. So while we go and do some of this reading on dying babies, you should go to a batting cage that shoots out rag dolls so you can practice. Practice catching the rag dolls that is… leave the hitting of babies to kings of horseplay like us.
Definitely not careless. you just gotta trust yourself. i did that with my son for moths. he never laughed so hard in his life! if we all popped our kids out in bubbles then whats the point in havin kids. lighten up and let ur kids enjoy life
we werent dropped on our heads. our parents had fun with us and tought us how to have funn and not get all stuck up and snobby!!!! oh…and to not turn our back on our wabbly 12 month old sittin on a bench. set the kid on the ground or learn to do things with one hand!
ummmmm…. ok
I have it on good authority from someone who did extensive research on the subject that they bounce until they’re three years (old).
I was attacked by a dog when I was 16 (17, 18?) months (old). I could have sustained serious damage…but I didn’t. I also rode in a car nearly daily for 24 years until moving to a city with public transit, and would have been a lot more likely to sustain serious, even fatal, injuries that way…but didn’t. Weird, isn’t is, how things that could have happened didn’t happen?
I’m still waiting to turn into a unicorn, though. That would be awesome, right?
So…you weren’t being a good mom and you let your baby fall 4 feet and you are telling other people how to raise their kids?
At first glance, yes, it is startlingly amusing, but I still cringe at the potential danger of doing anything of this sort. There are too many things that could go wrong, like a car driving by and blowing its horn, distracting the “receiver” momentarily.
There are just way, way, WAY too many other amusing things to do than endangering the baby this way.
Key words here…COULD HAVE sustained serious brain injury. She also COULD HAVE gotten a form of AIDS that we don’t know about yet, that happens when a 1 year old falls from a height of 4 feet, but guess what. IT DIDN’T HAPPEN! There are a lot of things in this world that COULD happen, and sometimes DO happen, but I don’t want to live my life with my child being afraid of every little nick cut scratch boo boo and owwie that may permanently scar them for the rest of their lives, because “experts” have found that 13.32% of serial killers were children who fell down and received 3 stitches on the left side of their face….or maybe a better way of saying things is, S*** HAPPENS!
You couldn’t sound more moronic. Yes the baby could have gotten aids, but chances of that would be greater if you injected it with infected blood…would it not? With that logic, after they get done dropping this kid on his head, if that doesn’t permanently injure or kill him, perhaps they could challenge him to a game of Russian rullette…why not? He may or may not get the bullet…don’t want him being afraid of getting a little boo boo.
If your paranoid don’t look at the picture. People like you take the fun out of this world.
TC, before you call Ryan a moron, I might suggest spelling roulette correctly. That is all.
Chill women. People like you make our country ridiculous. It’s just funny, they didn’t throw the baby into the ocean.
What kind of bench is 4ft high? And saying babies falling is serious business while ending your reply with a sarcastic remark about dropped babies doesn’t really lend credence to your posting.
This picture is obviously hilarious. I can’t believe in this day and age people don’t know how to laugh over awesome pictures like this.
aaaagreeeeddd Ryan!!!
NOT HILARIOUS, omg!
As a mother, I believe my heart just stopped …………………..
This picture is obviously not photoshopped. I can’t believe in this day and age people still can’t figure out real or faked photos.
This picture is obviously photoshopped. I can’t believe in this day and age people would still freak out over crazy pictures.
i highly doubt its photoshopped. i use to throw my son the same way. looked just like that and i didnt have to photo shop myself catching him!
I gurantee this is not photoshopped….. seeing as I have seen this done and better (flips). And I think these guys are Mormons, looks like an LDS church. My uncles do this kind of thing too
p.s. no kids have been harmed….so far
