i wish i knew more everybody… ive just had them as customers a few times, i dont really know these two. not sure what is up with the cookies really. i actually just noticed the party hats; they were too washed out against the backdrop. maybe it was one of the bears’ birthday? anyone’s guess is as good as mine… this scene is just as strange as the others on AFP.
What IS that on his head??? A party hat? That blows my theory that maybe – MAYBE? they were playing at being Mr. and Mrs Claus, eating the cookies left over from Christmas. But that does nothing to explain the stuffed bears. Or the wagon. Or…..*shrugs*…never mind.
Happy my as&. He looks like he is under duress to have this photo taken. If there was a thought bubble for him it would be “hurry up and take the freaking photo.”

i am completely serious (just rather not use my name, lest someone from work identify me). i’m not sure if the bears came before or after they met. maybe they did a lot of drugs, maybe they lost a child (they treat the bear dining with them as a child to feed). That’s a lot of maybes, wish i had more answers.
side note: also unsure if they are true cubs fans, we are several states away from chicago, even though that doesn’t always matter i know. maybe they thought the cub-bear connection was cute/fitting?

I don’t know who submitted this, but I’ve waited on this couple at the restaurant where I work! When I got to the homepage and could only see the dude’s head, I was really worried about scrolling down, but was relieved to see that they are clothed. They are a nice couple, but verrry strange. They have a bear with them at the table usually, and will order it some food and place it in front of the bear. Not sure how these two found each other….
This gives us some good insight into these two.
Plus it tells me that there really is someone out there for everyone.
I LOVE your side note on this couple…..it explains a lot. As to how they found each other…..when you have that much in common(quirks), it’s inevitable.
I’m wondering which one eats the bear’s food when the other leaves the table, to keep up the illusion.
Well I guess the important thing is they DID find each other. They are clearly happy together.

The bear on the left is blue because he thought that by holding his breath, he’d pass out and not have to witness the utter awkwardness of this picture. Dream on, little bear.
