The ARTHUR Awkward Wedding Contest Winner!
April 8th, 2011
Congratulations to Michelle and her parents’ “Head Games” for winning the title of Most Awkward Wedding Photo and a package of Arthur-inspired wedding gifts (including official movie t-shirts, a money clip, and a luxury bath set) as well as a signed copy of the Awkward Family Photos book! Honorable mention goes out to Emily’s Holy Photo Bomb, proving that awkwardness is divine.
Thanks to all of our nominees and the whole AFP community for submitting so many amazing photos (see all the submissions here) and don’t forget to check out ARTHUR in theaters today!

My husband and I have a similar photo. And, it was so stupid we had to get ot for our album. Does any photogrpaher really think that this is a good idea? Really!
There’s surgery they can do for this condition: Bridectomy.
My parents have this identical photo in the wedding album. Must’ve been a popular picture in the late 70′s, early 80′s lol
this picture scares me…
does anyone know what this “technique” is called? the floating ghost image superimposed or somewhere in the background?
What was going through his mind?
Doesn’t that old, sweet song go, “She always on my mind…. she’s alwaaaays on my mind.” Not sure he meant it literally.
My Dad’s got the exact same photo from his second wedding circa 1976.
My in-laws had the same style of wedding picture, too! Must have been the “in” thing to do in the 1970′s to not have a flattering picture of the husband taken.
I wonder if this was photoshopped.
I’m secretly hoping this wedding involved him switching tuxedos with Balki near the Chicago Theatre.
Funny- that was my first thought too. Looks like Larry from Perfect Strangers got married.
Woah!
