“My grandparents immigrated to the U.S. from Switzerland. On a family trip back to their homeland, they posed for this photo in front of a glacier. Armed with ice picks and standing in the arms of a stranger dressed in a polar bear suit, the photo leaves just one question: What do polar bears have to do with Switzerland?”

Hahaha oh yes … the Swiss grandparents. I have a set of my own … they just yell at me and tell me I look gruesome instead of shoving me at weirdos dressed as bears.

Can everyone say ” Jungfraujoch ” I was there a few months ago ( mountain / glacier next to the Elgar ) I think they had a polar bear ice sculptue along with the squirrel looking for his nuts from the “Ice Age” movie. I wish they had this polar bear in costume though, I probably would have gotten a similar awkward pic like this one lol

Unfortunately, I believe the suspected european man purse may be a binoculars case. You never know when you might need a close up view of, well, ice.

The kid on the right looks just like Ralphie from A Christmas Story doesn’t he? Only thing missing is the bunny suit.
They wanted the bunny suit, but the day they were there, it was at the cleaners; therefore, they were reduced to their second choice: the polar bear suit.
