“Bring Your Parents to School Day in kindergarten 1990. Apparently, I wasn’t so pleased about who I brought.”
(submitted by Kalyn)
Weird comment, buuuut.. On the list of names.. Jessicah? In 1990? Creative..
It looks like Jessica A…..was pretty popular, so perhaps more than one Jessica even if it’s not on the list??
Your Dad looks like Michael Keaton.
I think that’s the mom.
I thought so too!
So, how many times did the books up top get knocked off during the school year?
A male kindergarten teacher is quite a rarity–especially so in 1990. But maybe that has something to do with why Kalyn looks so cranky. Or maybe it’s because s/he left her name off the list posted right behind them.
Haha, both people in the picture are my parents. My dad is a lawyer which is why he looks so dressed up.
They don’t look too thrilled, either. 😉
Whew!!! talk about a death stare!
haha!!! i miss them “bring a parent” to school days… lucky mine are cool 😀
I took the picture as the mom is who she brought and the man is the teacher. I can’t imagine a teacher, back in the day, dressing so casual.
Regardless, how small is the classroom that everyone is huddled in the corner?
I thought the man was the teacher too, but he seems to be OVERdressed for kindergarten. Circle time (or “whole group” is over held in the corner of the classroom.
It probably hadn’t posted yet when you commented, but suit man is her dad (a lawyer) and the woman is her mom. But I was in the same boat as you guys before I read that. Even though she was dressed casually I still thought the woman was the teacher……
hahaha! So now this has me wondering what is on the paper that he brought. He could be reading some really exciting legal jargon to the poor kids. No wonder Kalyn looks upset.
Darn, Dad! Why do ja hafta be a accountant? Why can’t cha be a fireman, like Timmy’s Dad? That would be sooo cooool!
“So class, as a long-time employee of Flowbee, one of the perks is a free Flowbee machine which we use on our little Jenny all the time as you can see by her super duper haircut.” 🙂
Maybe you would have liked Send Your Child to Boarding School Day instead?
