I am so glad that style has fallen out of favor. Although not Photoshopped, the style IS a composite technique, and it emerged in the mid ’70s or so. This photo isn’t even a good example.
The way it was typically done was with a single subject and two shots, with the “ghost” face printed proportionately larger than the main subject. The photographer would take the main shot first, then drape the subject in black cloth for the “ghost” shot, to be added later in the development room.
I think it would be interesting to discover that these are three people who have never actually met. Perhaps there’s a family feud, and this is the only way they can be pictured together? Maybe they get along great but have very busy, incompatible schedules. I want to know n
Boy – I sure am relieved to hear that this one is photoshopped!!! I thought there was some poor disembodied ginormous head floating around out there. SCARY!

This is the best ever. Our next family photo…
you would think the photographer would know to move back then he could get all three in teh picture
Always one sister who is a head of the others.
nice family picture…
This is not photoshopped. This is an example of bad 80s professional photography.

Three Sisters; one sitting, one standing, one floating
Are all three the same person?
Seriously? They kinda look like sisters but definitely not the same person…
