And after a fulfilling youth of chasing ghosts, dr. Egon Spengler dedicated his life to yet another fulfilling trial, that of raising a family… and a mullet.
I don’t see the comment here, must only be on Facebook, but whoever said Egon Spengler is right! I think the funniest thing about it is not the tinted glasses, but the fact that neither of them are looking at each other. Thus, “Vision Quest”.
I almost wish that there wasn’t a comment section…some people just take ALLLL the fun out of these pictures! Let’s not over-analyze this website – just look at the picture, spot the smallest portion of the picture that the caption is referring to, laugh…a lot, and move on to the next. Sheesh!
That’s the thing about humor….you never know who is going to understand it and who is going to point out the obvious and yet still NOT get the joke. Guess which category describes you.
This reminds me of a line out the movie Speed, scene in the elevator: “Thanks for pushing that button Derek…the light is on but you never now, it might be broken.”
ok,so the photog didn’t do a great job (what’s with the weird vignette??), but this is a seriously cute picture of dad and baby, he’s obviously really proud and happy. It’s just a bit dated for our 21st century sensibilities, I guess.
btw, my oldest daughter had that same dress or something like unto it.

hahahahahahaaa
The glasses are strange, but this is a dad who obviously adores his little girl. Awkward but sweet at the same time. Seems like a great dad.
That is Just Wrong!!!!

More proof for the kid hipsters that the ’80s had plenty of fashion horrors and stylistic nightmares.
Actually, this picture was taken in December 1993, though to be fair, my dad is always behind lol

He really looks like Max Weinberg (From Late Night with Conan O’Brien and The Tonight Show with Conan)!
…at least mullets and Cosby sweaters are out these days for the most part. I wish baby headbands would go away, too.
Amen! I call them “brain squeezers”!!!
He’s half the man he used to be.
She’s thinking please don’t cut _MY_ hair like that when I’m older daddy!
Is he smiling or does he just have wind?
There’s something scary about that thousand yard stare.
Thinks: ‘At last! I can breast feed’
wow…those are some interesting glasses.
The expression is “rose colored” glasses.
right. but this guys glasses are amber-coloured. i think its a play on words. (?!)
Yes, we ALL know that. That’s why it’s called a “play on words”.
That’s the thing about humor….you never know who is going to understand it and who is going to point out the obvious and yet still NOT get the joke. Guess which category describes you.
I bet you are young. Ever hear of poetic license?
Yes….See, Thats what makes the title funny.
Let’s try it…”This is what happens when you see the world through rose-colored glasses.” Nope, not funny.

I think it’s sweet. Dated but not awkward.
It is awkward BECAUSE it’s dated. It’s ok, they’ll be laughing at us in 20 years too. My vote is sweet AND awkward.
i itch just looking at that sweater… what is with the smurk …
Did he raid Bill Cosby’s sweater collection?
Exactly what I was thinking!
the baby is soooo checking out the cute assistant!
Awww, I think this is sweet – nothing awkward about it, imho. Now the mullet, on the other hand ……
