Behind The Awkwardness: Happy Mother’s Day

August 24th, 2011

“I’m the pissed-off one dressed in high style 80′s neon on the far right, two feet away from Mom and my grandmother who clearly think the occasion warrants a bit more elegance than I do. (And yes, it really was mother’s day).”

Your poor mom! One day, you too, will have a teenager.

LOL! I can 100% relate to this, I was not a fan of contrived family fun either. :)

LOL!!!!!! That’s the funniest thing I’ve ever seen. Wow, look at those mismatched socks. Unfortunately they came back into style again last year among the eighth-grade girls at my daughter’s middle school. As a mom, it’s very frustrating when you never get both socks through the laundry at the same time.
I can tell SOMEONE didn’t want to be there, nor have her picture taken. My family has some similar photos in which my little sister was mad and didn’t want to be there.

My daughter just started the 8th grade and has been doing the mismatched socks since last year, too. Thankfully, she does her own laundry.

Nothing says rebel like mismatched socks.

The mis-matched socks say “thanks Mom”

It looks like Mom is going to bop Gramma off the end of the bench! Sweet sneakers Valerie, I’m sure I had a similar outfit (and snarly expression at some times) haha
