Looking like an 80′s pic, most photogs used the roll-down backdrops (they were like cardboard that rolled down and covered the floor) and if you stepped too heavily your heel could easily put a hole right through the paper. Maybe the photog was worried about that? :;shrugs:: definitely an odd photo.
im curious to know where this photo was taken. When I was in junior high, I had a Valentine’s Day dance photo taken where I wasn’t allowed to wear dress shoes b/c the school was afraid they’ll scuff up the gym.
Tsk, tsk, tsk. Someone didn’t get the memo – smart, black and white attire and we must pose WITH our shoes… (as opposed to with our shoes on). Dear me, Marnie would have a fit. That is NOT a regulation size floral dress.

This is a modern day Cinderalla story if I’ve ever seen one. Its obvious that there are two handsome shoe store heirs looking for brides, and they’ll marry whomever can slip into those lovely velveteen shoes. These young lassies have all shown up to take a crack at it.

The little girls dress is bigger than she is. It’s rather distracting, you kind of overlook hot sister at the front.
It’s almost like the little girl has her face in one of those plywood cut-out things. It’s not really her body.

Awkward is not taking your shoes off. Awkward is taking your shoes off and then proudly displaying them in your photo.
But most of us don’t take them off and pose them next to us during a professional photo shoot.
