He would only bark in self-defense.

There’s nothing quite like accurately executed, turn of the century samurai picture. Nothing. Ever.
Personally. I live it. He wore the outfit perfectly and did not smile wide. He is standing strong and showing a respect for the culture. The photo is nice. As for the dog. I bet he just loves his dog. It’s not a Japanese breed but that’s ok.
“I am Duncan MacLeod of the Clan MacLeod and there can be only one!”
The truth is so much less exciting: I’m betting our handsome samurai is actually a groom taking a pre-wedding photo. That doesn’t explain the dog, though.
Samurais had toy tractors? and color-photography used when there is nothing that utilizes color, he and the dog are black&white and the rest… well you can see for yourself.
That dog would rather be anywhere else!
Maybe I’m seeing this wrong, but is he wearing socks and….flip flops?
I was thinking the exact same thing. Great way to top off an already fabulous outfit – socks with flip-flops
That’s actually traditional Japanese footwear. The flip flops are called “geta” and the socks are called “tabi.” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geta_(footwear) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tabi
As ridiculous as the picture is, he is actually wearing the clothes correctly.
i just hope the guy doesn’t trip.
Hay this remindes me of the japanese ledgend of the fox that was a woman
I’m pretty sure he scored that outfit at Anthropologie. Nothing says badass like Anthro. On a dude.
It is a poor choice to use a dog as a scabbard.
As someone who has worn kimono in public many, many times, I like it! He got the outfit right, which isn’t easy (or cheap).
Ever behead someone using a dog? Dude is THAT tough.
Please someone….help me.
I had no idea that shabby chic had such a rich heritage!
It looks like the dogs eyes are crossed, and he’s saying “Oh please”
JoAnne Fabrics thought they’d never get rid of that last bolt of brown striped bath curtain fabric.
So many motifs.
I am utterly lost on this one.
1950s Samsonite suitcases?
I was gonna write the same thing cruliejulie wrote! he DOES look like a younger Coach that is on Survivor right now…..LOL
is it coach from survivor? if not sure looks like him
I dominate the dojo, mister!
He looks like Coach from “Survivor.”
TRUE! First thing I thought of when I looked at the pic, lol
I think the dog is rolling his eyes!
Samurais were still that common in the 20’s, 30’s, & 40’s?
