the SHINING!!!
I loved it; I watched exactly 5 min. of “The Shining”, as I was WAY too scared to finish it. But this picture also reminded me of the movie where the kid says “I see dead people”. What’s so perfect about this picture…is that the parents were tring to get a good picture. And had what they THOUGHT was a “photographic opportunity”.
What’s scary about it?? I don’t understand…
Have you ever seen the Shining? Just type it in Google images and you’ll see why.
Reminds me more of the movie “The Ring”.
Probably one of the more creepy pictures I have seen. Gosh, it gives me the chills even.

This pic gave my husband the willies. Planning on keeping it bookmarked. Pretty sure that if I show it to him again, and whisper “Redrum,” he’ll do anything I ask!

Some film director who is making a horror film will see this and make it into a movie poster. I just know it.

I really like the blood stains in the carpet; nice touch.
Don’t think those are blood stains. I think it’s oriented strandboard.

Kind of reminds me of the photo I took in a hotel hallway in upstate New York, sans scary children. The whole hotel reminded me of the Overlook.
This photo is eerie. I love it!
I saw this photo and immediately said to myself “redrum redrum”. Then I read the caption. Its perfect and awkward worthy.

If only it was video, then we could have seen the door at the end of the hall open up and a river of blood flow down the hallway.

Reference to a scary movie “the shining” where a ghost child, creepily comes up a hallway lit up like that in the photo, very creepy scene!

It looks like a scene from a horror movie. The long blank hallway, the soft glow of light behind the angel-faced devil child.

Nothing literal happened in the hallway. The awkwardness comes from the fact that they tried to take a simple picture of their little girl, and what they got was a perfect horror-movie type shot — shining light from behind, ominous child, all white, slightly blurred… like blood is about to start dripping from that attic door.
