Behind The Awkwardness: Feeling Groovy
January 23rd, 2012
“My “Far-Out” mama apparently thought all of us wearing tie-dye and making our hair as feathered as possible would make the perfect family photo. Please keep in mind this was taken in 1992, when neither tie-dye nor blue eyeliner were in fashion… Thanks Mom!”

when has tie dye NOT been in fashion?
I see nothing wrong with this. I wear shirts like this all the time.
The boy in back reminds me of Rusty from National Lampoon’s Vacation.
The little blonde reminds me of Kitty Foreman from That 70′s Show.
nice
they are funny
What this photo needs is more cow bell.
Glad I wasnt the only one catching that
Yes!! thank you!
SO glad I wasn’t the only one to see that! Thank you!
I put my t-shirt on one sleeve at a time. But after I put my t-shirt on I make solid gold records, baby.
The only reason I clicked on the comments for this photo was to see if other people also thought this
This.
Also this.
LMAO ME TOO!!!!!!!!!
HAHAHA
Absolutely! That was my first thought : )
Lol. Exactly what I thought too. Nice.
fabulously awkward… but fun
Yikes!
If you stare long enough at the shirts you will see a sailboat.
It’s a schooner.
The elephant is what makes it art. Takes it right up to eleven.
love that their eyeshadow matches their shirts. cute family.
Good old mom! LOL! She’s paying you back for adolescence!
help! i’m having a bad acid flashback!
You just stare at the shirts and the world goes away….
My eyes keep getting drawn to the purple wall out of sheer exhaustion.
The 70s were probably Mom’s “Glory Days,” and she wanted to re-live….
Ouch……………this is burning my eyes!!!
Oh wow mom.
Ahh! My eyes! The goggles do nothing!
I’m just having trouble focusing.
well, see, you’re supposed to let your eyes unfocus and then you’ll see a pretty unicorn dancing over a rainbow!
