I have to say, I kind of like this picture. They all look happy and very All American family in a way. Corny yes, but maybe we need a little corny in this country.

  2. falcore says:

Wow, I never knew my cousins had such great style. What I really want to know is which one posted this? haha, awesome! 🙂

  3. Phydoux says:

You know that photographer was thinking… OMG… RED!!!

  4. ZBGB says:

That boy looks just like Derek Hough. And he has 4 blonde sisters, just like this little dude. Hmmm.

  5. TeachWI says:

I hope no one breaks into their house in the middle of the night and has a picnic on them…

  6. Tvannie says:

At home you can bet the girls have matching, red gingham curtains, bedspreads, throw pillows, etc.

  7. Dee Dee says:

“And this is how we used up all those leftover tablecloths after the family reunion”.

  8. J Weider says:

    Camouflage at Bob Evans!

  9. Anthony O'Neill says:

Somewhere, an Italian restaurant is missing all their tablecloths

  10. chirkle says:

    Cute – yes.
    Nice family – yes.
photo that hurt my eyes until I put on sunglasses – yes.

  11. Thorin Oakenschlong says:

Red wine and spaghetti sauce stains on all their shirts FTW!

  12. gina says:

I love this pic! Awkward… yes… but they look like an awesome family!

  13. charlie says:

To think mom took all that time to sew all those outfits – thinking that it would look good – it just comes across like a sea of dizzying red -only the reflection off their glasses and shiny bowl cut heads alievates power of the “RED”. Dad looks like he drinks way too much carrot juice….
To this day the children run away in sheer terror anytime they are near a red checkered tablecloth….

  14. Tree says:

Number One of a 101 uses for a picnic tablecloth.

  15. Julie says:

I’m loving the do-it-yourself bang cuts! LOL!

  16. Karise says:

But they look so happy! It’s hard to find it awkward when you see the look of genuine joy in a picture 🙂

    • RB says:

I totally agree! Apparently there is no amount of awkwardness that a family’s sheer, unbridled joy can’t eclipse! My first thought was, “they look like such a lovely family!”

  17. Michelle says:

There are dolls in the photo?

    (What a sweet family.)

  18. Sarah says:

It is super cute that mom made all of those outfits by herself. But man, did she have to use all same fabric?

  19. Pinkie1 says:

Dolls??? There’s no dolls, I don’t see any dolls.

  20. I can sew too! says:

Mom has some mad sewing skills. Look at the piping on the boy’s and dad’s shirt. Wow!

  21. PC says:

Mom just totally gave up on her hairstyle or lack thereof. BUT…they do look pretty happy so more power to ’em! 🙂

  22. Simon says:

We invite them to stay for the weeknd, the kitchen curtains disappear, and now this

  23. Ajax says:

It’s beyond words, but I agree…they’re a very sweet looking family. The kids look very happy and so do the parents. Nice 🙂

  24. MomofBoys says:

I agree with the comments below: You just don’t see families like this anymore! Yes, it was gingham overkill, but you can just FEEL the love in this picture 🙂 Very, very sweet!

  25. Alan says:

If they got the material by post… could say ‘the checks in the mail’

  26. Wendy Jane says:

That Mom has a sewing machine and knows how to use it.

  27. Amy says:

Aw, my mom made dresses for us.. if I only were this awesome! Cute!

  28. HeatherW says:

My depth perception is off after looking at this.

  29. GracieLee says:

There’s an Italian restaurant in their town who now can’t get tablecloths because of these folks!

  30. somechick says:

uh oh, mom’s been at it with the gingham again!

seriously, what a happy, cute family they are 🙂

  31. Jodi McLean says:

How many tablecloths had to die…

  32. msme says:

Mom must have gotten a deal on a bolt of fabric

  33. mamarose1 says:

I LOVE THIS!! I know this mom spent HOURS making all those shirts. They look very happy and loved.

    • Rosieposie says:

I also love this! So glad I’m not the only one!! This is one happy family and what’s not to love about that?

    • dpittman70 says:

Yes. It is good to see a happy family picture, I’m all for happy families, but you have to admit this is an awkwardly funny photo. Sense of humor, people.

  34. mipartee says:

Someone found a sale on gingham….

  35. Preownedbrunete says:

Not only did they use the same material for their clothes…. they used the same bowl to trim their bangs.
