I have to say, I kind of like this picture. They all look happy and very All American family in a way. Corny yes, but maybe we need a little corny in this country.
To think mom took all that time to sew all those outfits – thinking that it would look good – it just comes across like a sea of dizzying red -only the reflection off their glasses and shiny bowl cut heads alievates power of the “RED”. Dad looks like he drinks way too much carrot juice….
To this day the children run away in sheer terror anytime they are near a red checkered tablecloth….
I totally agree! Apparently there is no amount of awkwardness that a family’s sheer, unbridled joy can’t eclipse! My first thought was, “they look like such a lovely family!”
I agree with the comments below: You just don’t see families like this anymore! Yes, it was gingham overkill, but you can just FEEL the love in this picture Very, very sweet!
Yes. It is good to see a happy family picture, I’m all for happy families, but you have to admit this is an awkwardly funny photo. Sense of humor, people.

Wow, I never knew my cousins had such great style. What I really want to know is which one posted this? haha, awesome!
You know that photographer was thinking… OMG… RED!!!
That boy looks just like Derek Hough. And he has 4 blonde sisters, just like this little dude. Hmmm.
I hope no one breaks into their house in the middle of the night and has a picnic on them…
LOL!!!
Incredible. Actually almost choked laughing.
At home you can bet the girls have matching, red gingham curtains, bedspreads, throw pillows, etc.
“And this is how we used up all those leftover tablecloths after the family reunion”.
Camouflage at Bob Evans!
best comment,
Agree great comment
Somewhere, an Italian restaurant is missing all their tablecloths
Cute – yes.
Nice family – yes.
photo that hurt my eyes until I put on sunglasses – yes.
Red wine and spaghetti sauce stains on all their shirts FTW!
I love this pic! Awkward… yes… but they look like an awesome family!
I agree. Overkill, but they look like a happy, family.

Number One of a 101 uses for a picnic tablecloth.
I’m loving the do-it-yourself bang cuts! LOL!
But they look so happy! It’s hard to find it awkward when you see the look of genuine joy in a picture

There are dolls in the photo?
(What a sweet family.)
It is super cute that mom made all of those outfits by herself. But man, did she have to use all same fabric?
Dolls??? There’s no dolls, I don’t see any dolls.
The two girls in the front are both holding dolls – wearing the same pattern.
That was a joke.
Mom has some mad sewing skills. Look at the piping on the boy’s and dad’s shirt. Wow!
Mom just totally gave up on her hairstyle or lack thereof. BUT…they do look pretty happy so more power to ‘em!
All of her time and effort went into the outfits.
We invite them to stay for the weeknd, the kitchen curtains disappear, and now this
It’s beyond words, but I agree…they’re a very sweet looking family. The kids look very happy and so do the parents. Nice

That’s exactly what I thought! You can FEEL the love. I love this picture.
And I bet all the kids have happy memories. Its easy to see someone faking joy, this family appears to be joyful
If they got the material by post…..you could say ‘the checks in the mail’
For the Win!
That Mom has a sewing machine and knows how to use it.
Aw, my mom made dresses for us.. if I only were this awesome! Cute!
My depth perception is off after looking at this.
I agree.
There’s an Italian restaurant in their town who now can’t get tablecloths because of these folks!
Ha Ha! Great comment! Made me laugh about as hard as the picture itself.
Hahaha, good one.
uh oh, mom’s been at it with the gingham again!
seriously, what a happy, cute family they are
How many tablecloths had to die…
Mom must have gotten a deal on a bolt of fabric
I LOVE THIS!! I know this mom spent HOURS making all those shirts. They look very happy and loved.
I also love this! So glad I’m not the only one!! This is one happy family and what’s not to love about that?
Yes. It is good to see a happy family picture, I’m all for happy families, but you have to admit this is an awkwardly funny photo. Sense of humor, people.
Someone found a sale on gingham….
Not only did they use the same material for their clothes…. they used the same bowl to trim their bangs.
