I cannot stop staring at this picture. This is the third day in a row that I have checked back to have a gander at it. I have a lot of questions. And needless to say, it totally cracks me up…
I’ve always joked that in my next life I get long straight black hair… sigh… & look what he did with his beautiful hair! I guess he apparently always wanted to be a Blond! Guess the grass is always greener on the other side of the hill… or maybe it’s that’s the hair is always blonder on the other side of the part! Her haircut & color is kind of fun I think. It’s a fun picture to be sure!

It took me a long time to do that hair every day. We took the photo because of the contrast (hair vs no hair). We had no idea this pic (from 1986) would get this much traction (was on Ellen’s show & website, Yahoo! News, and Tosh.0). Too funny!
I always say that if you don’t look a little ridiculous in some of your old pictures, you haven’t really fully enjoyed the fashions of the eras you’ve lived through.

You are right – I was wearing leather pants. The tails tuxedo I got at Goodwill, the winged lion pin was affixed to hide the fact that a button was missing, and that’s a real dog collar (instead of bow tie) I bought from a pet store. Needless to say, I stood out at the formal.
Nope, they were right in their time. That picture sums up the ’80s perfectly! I love it! HawaiiBoy, please tell me you used John Freeda’s Freeze to get your hair like that. I did!

When I looked at the photo I thought his hair looked like it might be a wig. It seems to be floating above his head … but I’m no expert.
But I liked the overall “crisply defined” look of the couple. Her hair is great.
