I was the only girl with three brothers. One Christmas I received a toy machine gun from my Grandparents. Unfortunately, my Mother didn’t think it was “girly” enough and took it away from me. I really wanted that gun.

We had that SAME couch! Through my whole childhood it sat in our formal living room. Then I got married and we inherited it. We’d had it for the past 23 years, until we finally gave it away before our last move. It was still in pretty good shape too. That thing lasted almost 50 years and is still going, somewhere in NY….

In the early years there were No weight class divisions in the Living Room Boxing Federation.
So there was a price to be paid by the younger lighter fighters. A very high price indeed.
