Saturday Night Fever - *AFP Hall Of Fame*

“This is a a portrait taken of my family for my tenth birthday. The photographer asked us for a serious look, a la Old Timey photos. I kept giggling so he told me to ‘look more like your Dad!’ Easy enough.”

Love the girl’s orange tights! And the boy’s face is priceless.

I had the same orange/yellow shag carpeting in my bedroom circa 1973. Even now, it hasn’t lost its allure. And dad is really rocking those mutton chop sideburns. Tres chic!

#1 thank you Jesus for the digital camera age, where we can take awesome pics now adays.
#2 What’s up with the kid about to cry, but has the party hat strapped to his head? What about the man who is a good sport with the hat but certainly doesn’t have a smile to go with the festive pics? Then there is the older femal who has refused the hat, and the lil’ gilr has it on. What must have happened just prior to this photo?
    #3 disturbingly awkward perfection!

  12. Nancy says:

That boy looked like he couldn’t stand the smell of his Grandfather’s pipe. LOL

  13. JS says:

Best photo ever!!!! So awkwardly PERFECT!

  14. Lizabeth says:

There are countless forms of awkward in this photo…almost like one of those “can you find the 11 (awkward) things hidden in this picture?”

Wonder what year this was taken!?
