I think this is awesome! I wish we had done this with our kids when they were babies.

  2. Ajax says:

Poor Baby looks way tie-tie from long body-painting sess.

Yep. Intense symbolism. That’s just what makes this so . . . awkward.

  3. Rowan says:

This isn’t awkward, it is a beautiful sentiment. And of course it’s painted on; you don’t tattoo a baby. *headdesk*

The symbolism is amazing. I wish my parents had been that awesome!

Actually this is one of the less awkward photos I’ve seen here. The dragon is well-done, the woman’s makeup is cool, and the quality of the shoot is high. And actually, the symbology of the dragon as it relates to a kind of tribal strength of this little family is actually interesting. And if you’ve ever had a baby you can easily feel a fierce and deep protectiveness over it.

Dad is surprisingly hot, btw. Kapow!

  6. jaklumen says:

I’m going to bet the dragon is not even a tattoo, but painted on.

  7. Okay, so honestly, this is awkward, but as a face painter, and hairstylist who loves glammed up hair facsinators, I find it totally awesome!!

  8. Camille says:

100 bucks that this was dads idea

  9. bowers says:

I think they probably like the lil girl.
