I know this sweet family and this picture captures them and their ability to have fun with their children everyday! They are an example to all who know them. What a fun memory for their little ones.
Not one bit awkward! Everyone in this fun happy family is absolutly in the present, comfortable, and radiating love for their silly siblings and their goofy mom and dad. I was absolutly struck by the love and happiness shown in this picture. I picture them going for ice cream or something after the photo. (after all they went to some trouble to get ready)
How can you criticise this? It is a family moment. The photographer would have wanted to get all in the “happy mood”. Who among you could do that at the first try? what make you think that that was the only attempt? Hard to take you seriously!.
I saw this picture, saw the little girl in purple, and popped in here to say this picture isn’t that awkward. This family looks amazingly happy, and I think if the little girl was the only smile in the photo, it would still be a good photo. Kudos to them for being so visibly happy together. From the comments, I notice I’m not alone.
I think it is wonderful! What a fun Family! Those kids should grow up well adjusted with great self esteem! Knowing they belong to a Family that loves each other, and knows how to have fun together! What good sports they all are! More Families should do more things like this and there will be less kids going to school with weapons and shooting their classmates, etc., so to speak! Well rounded and well adjusted kids in Families like this, become great leaders and teachers and Parents and contribute far better to society! Keep it up! Anyone poo-pooing ideas likje this are just jealous they didn’t think about it first, or are very insecure individuals. Hop aboard the healthy train people! <3
I absolutely loved this one… what a blast that they must have had doing this. I wonder why they thought of doing this. Silly, yep totally. Awkward…well maybe. But to me they look like they were having a blast. And maybe that’s one thing that can make things in this world a little better. I say three multicolored cheers for them!
Well, call me a dork, but I kind of like it. I mean, not in a “Let’s blow this up to the size of an elephant and hang it on the focal wall of the living room” way, but in a “wouldn’t it be a great family memory if we dressed up like a rainbow and took a picture of how awesome we are?” kind of way. But, like I said. Dork.
Why are they all smiling? Don’t they know how horrifying this is? They’re traumatized. That’s the only explanation. They’re all in shock.
*As a rule rainbows don’t usually make me cry.

Adorable!!
The family that spoons together stays together!
There was an explosion in the paint department at Home Depot.

OH MY GOD!! WE LOST VIOLET!
Let’s take them to our leader.
Taste the rainbow!

They’re a kid short…

Looks like the Teletubbies squad added a few new players.
The only thing wrong with this pic is the shoes. They could have worn colored socks, but its pretty cute.
What a beautiful and happy family! The kids will love showing their children and grandchildren what happy times they had growing up.

That’s kinda genius.

Guess I’m a dork too. Can’t help but smile at parents willing to do something a little awkward for the sake of family fun and memories.
Awkward, yes! But – Look at the smiles on those kids! They are genuinely happy and having fun as a family. Nothing wrong with that.

Kermit immediately started singing in my head.
