I actually think it’s kind of funny! I’m sure it was meant well…and the green is clearly a hospital gown…and quite a delicate job they did with the pooling of the fabric to conceal the vag. I hear what you’re saying…but I snickered.
It is true! I remember when we had a big party back in ’07 or ’08, at the police headquarters where I was working as a 911 dispatcher. I remember Animal Control bringing a Kitty Litter cake, litter scoop and all, I suppose as a joke–it even had a couple realistic ‘gifts’ from the cat sitting on top. It went over about as well as a lead balloon. The cake sat untouched for the entire length of the party, with people making faces and all sorts of remarks as they passed by it. I think we were all relieved when it finally made its way into the garbage. ICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m trying to figure out what kind of person would even come up with this idea and then actually make it. They were probably so proud of their creation… I find it bizarre.
I agree with the earlier comment. Sometimes folks get stymied for what to say, OR a quote like “this is wrong on so many levels” fits the bill. In this case, rather perfectly.
Someone, please help me out. This cake reminds me of a monster from an old cheesy Science Fiction film, but I cannot come up with the name. No, not “Alien” because that would be a C-Section cake. Anyone know the title of the film this is reminiscent of? Thanks!
When I first saw this, I wondered, “What does a green crab have to do with motherhood?”
I thought that the green part was the body of a crab, and the long extensions were supposed to be the crab’s legs. It wasn’t until I noticed the baby arm that I realized that this had nothing to do with sea life.
And the wrinkles on the “skin” of the legs……… the whole thing looks like a backwards Alien movie…….. The Alien having a human baby… Nightmare inducing.
